Natasha Romanoff X Reader
Warnings: wasted coffee?? It's kinda a very melancholy chapter.
------------------------------------------------------------------
She stood in the kitchen, the dim light from the hallway lamp being the only thing to illuminate the house. Music hummed softly in the background and so did she.
She stired her coffee four times, no more no less, before deciding it really wasn't worth mixing the instant coffee properly. She chucked the tea spoon into the sink with a metallic clatter.
Huffing, she leant against the kitchen counter clutching the small cup. The wind howled in the night outside, banging at the windows. Her breathing wasn't heavy or laboured. It was calm and constant, she looked calm. Peacefull even. A soft smile playing at her lips.
Yes she was calm, but she was overcome with the sudden urge to throw the cup at the wall on the other side of the room.
She hummed softly along to the melody she realised was still playing. A soft tune, something from the 40s of off the Spotify playlist she had been making for Bucky and Steve.
She didn't hear the front door open, she didn't notice the hallway lights flick on and she wasn't aware of the footsteps approaching the kitchen.
In blind rage that had suddenly bubbled up, she gave into the urge and threw the cup of coffee at the wall, sending hot liquid and pieces of ceramic everywhere. It was then her breathing became laboured, as she tried to calm herself. She turned and noticed the red head standing in the corner.
"Oh, hey" she hummed, as if she hadn't just thrown a cup at the wall and wasnt awake in the early hours of the morning having not slept at all.
"What are you doing up?" Her girlfriend asked placing down her bags.
"I couldn't sleep" she replied having fully calmed down now. Her voice was angelic, drawing Natasha in. She took a few steps into the kitchen and (Y/N) walked towards her placing a quick peck on her lips.
"What's wrong baby?" Natasha asked.
"I don't know. I'm selling the house" she wasn't sure why she said it, she just did. She hadn't even thought about selling her house and now she's gone and blurted it out.
"What why? (Y/N) what's wrong, what happened?" Natasha asked, worry overcoming her as she wrapped her arms around (Y/N)'s waist.
"How come we don't live together?" (Y/N) wasn't sure where those words had come from either, she hadn't even realised that she cared about not living together. Natasha was round here so often anyway.
"What? I didn't know it bothered you?" Natasha scrunched her face in confusion.
"I miss you when you're not here. I want to live with you" (Y/N) stated "and I hate this house" she added quietly causing Nat to laugh.
"What's wrong with the house?" She chuckled placing a kiss on (Y/N)'s head.
"It's old" (Y/N) hummed, wrapping her hands around Nats neck and pulling her closer.
"I'll talk to Tony about you moving into the tower" Natasha said. "I love you baby"
"I love you more" (Y/N) teased escaping Nats grasp before she could attack her with tickles and kisses.

Just a small layout change. I'm going to go back and put who the oneshot is with in the title so if you're looking for someone in particular it'll be easier.
