Neither of us pulled away from the other until my dad knocked on the door. He opened it and surprisingly didn't comment on us hugging.
"Hey, sorry to interrupt but everyone has arrived. Come down when your ready...actually come down as soon as you can," he said and walked away, leaving the door open.
I pulled away from Niall. I felt cold when his touch was no longer on me.
"I'm gonna get ready for the party. You can leave if you want, I won't mind," I told him. I was lying. I would mind if he left but I didn't want him to feel awkward at the party.
"No its OK, I want to stay for the party. If that's OK,"
I smiled, "Of course it's OK."
I opened my wardrobe and picked out the short, flowy, dark blue dress Liv had bought me as part of my Christmas present the year before. It was fancy but not to fancy and was appropriate for a party that my family and friends would be at.
Niall turned around to face the wall as I got changed into the dress without me even needing to ask.
I brushed my hair and let it fall down past my shoulders. I added a bit of mascara quickly and checked myself in the mirror before saying, "How do I look?"
Niall turned around. He smiled and said, "Beautiful." I blushed and looked at the floor. He reached into his hoodie pocket and pulled out a plain black box. It was small and rectangular.
"Here," he said and passed it to me. I took it gently from his hands. The outside of the box was like velvety and felt incredibly soft.
I opened it and stared in amazement at the bracelet that lay in a perfectly straight line. It was made up of the golden outline of leaves, each one filled with tiny diamonds. It was the most beautiful bracelet I'd ever seen.
"Happy birthday," Niall said. I looked at him and then back to the bracelet and then back to him.
"Niall it's beautiful. I love it!" I said smiling. I really did love it.
"I was going to get you a necklace but you always seem to wear that ring around your neck so I didn't want to get you something you wouldn't wear," he explained. My fingers reached up and touched my ring. Half the time I forget I'm wearing it because I get so used to it being there.
"Thank you. Will you help me put it on?" I asked him as I took it out the box. I threw the box onto my bed and gave the bracelet to Niall. He secured it around my wrist. It fitted perfectly, not to tight, not to loose.
"I'm glad you like it, it was literally the first one I saw in the shop and I bought it because I wanted to get back quickly," he said. It suddenly hit me that he must had gone and bought the bracelet when I was sleeping less than an hour ago.
"It's perfect."
I push my mouth to his and kissed him. It was a quick one but it made me not want to be away from him ever again.
"I love you," I whispered when I pulled away from the kiss.
"I love you too," he said and kissed me again.
I shook my head and he pulled away.
"Everyone is waiting downstairs, come on," I said and lead Niall out of my room and down stairs, making sure he was right next to me the entire time.
