The song above is what Geno's theme would be in this story.
Geno's POV
I leaned against the island in the kitchen. How is it that I'm a month in and I already feel exhausted? What the fuck. Well, this is Reaper's child I'm talking about so, I guess it does make some sense.
Fresh came into the room and sat down on a bar stool.
Fresh: How are you feeling?
He never talked to me in his lingo. A sign of respect, he told me.
Me: I feel like I want to die.
Fresh: Did you have morning sickness?
I sighed.
Me: Yes and it sucked ass.
Fresh: I understand the pregnancy thing but could you at least watch your language just a little.
Me: I'll try but don't expect me to do that twenty-four seven, especially if Reaper is around.
Fresh: Is that a special occasion or something?
Me: No it's just... Reaper makes me want to punch him in the balls so I am most likely going to curse around him.
I looked at the cloak to see what time it was. It was around 5:00 pm, also known as 17:00. Reaper should be here any minute. Lately, he has been stopping by everyday to make sure I'm okay after he was done with work. I was surprised by this because when I was a child and mom was pregnant with Error, dad never checked on her, ever.
As if like clockwork, Reaper came in through the door. He was holding a notebook in his right hand while writing something with his left. He never goes anywhere without that damn thing. I'm starting to think he's in a relationship with it.
Fresh left to go to his room. I wasn't needed in court today so I was given a short break.
Reaper closed his book and sat down. I became curious about what was in it. I knew he was an illegal assassin, since I am his lawyer but I don't actually know what he does.
Me: You always have that. What's so important that you have to write it down?
Reaper: Everyone knows that ten people signed the bill that made this country go to hell. However, all but one name was revealed. I've took it upon myself to kill these people so that this law could end. So far, only one has died, and it wasn't even by my hands.
He looked like he wanted to say another piece of information but chose not to.
Me: Why do you want this job to be gone so bad? Don't you know that can make quite a bit of people unemployed.
Reaper: I know that but there's this person back at my apartment complex that I want to keep safe. However, there's another reason now.
He looked down. His demeanor changed into something that I've never seen before, especially with Reaper. His expression was soft and... sad almost.
Reaper: You came into my life. You stole my soul. You make me feel like a normal person. I'm scared that I might lead danger to you or my friend. Now that you're pregnant with our child, that feeling is ten times stronger. I can't live without you.
He looked up at me. I didn't realize at first but, he was crying. This conversation must have hit a soft spot. This is so strange. I've never seen Reaper, of all people, even shed a tear.
I walked around the island and went towards him. I hugged him from behind. Since he was sitting down, I rested my head on top of his. This would have been different if he was standing. He's much taller than me. Reminds me of my little brother. Error was always unreasonably tall.
