You are the sister of Jesse Reeves and the daughter of Maharet. you had been away at college for a few months, finally the holidays had come and you were able to come home for a while. When you spoke to Jesse over the phone you told her to tell no one that you were coming home, you wanted to surprise them. Jesse was in on it and she promised not to say anything. You drove from the University all the way to Maharets home in the desert. After a few hours you finally made it. You got out of the car and met Jesse at the front of the house, she immediately embraced you in a tight hug. "Jesse! not too tight!" you laughed. she laughed along with you. "I'm sorry, I'm just glad your home. I missed you so much." she said letting go of you. "I missed you too Jesse." you said with a smile. The two of you went inside, you took in the sight of the house. It had been too long since you have seen this place with your own eyes. It felt so good to be home, and it was still the same as ever. Nothing had changed at all since you left.
Jesse explained to you that Maharet was in the great hall speaking with some of the members of the great family at the moment. It was best not to disturb her since the gathering was important. You nodded knowing what it meant. Maharet had been holding these gatherings or "Sabbats" for sometime now. All she wanted was peace between mortals and blood drinkers, and you couldn't help but feel the same way. You were a mortal living amongst some of the most powerful vampires to exist, and all you wanted was to live in peace amongst them. Many others had felt the same as you did. Jesse agreed with the idea as well. Soon enough the meeting was over and they were all in the drawing room. That was your chance to surprise them. You and Jesse entered the drawing room and saw that everyone was chatting amongst themselves.
Jesse nodded at you and you walked up to Maharet, she immediately felt your presence in the room and looked at you. She smiled. "Y/N, my daughter!" she exclaimed. You laughed and embraced your mother. "Oh my god it's so good to see you again!" she said. "It's good to see you too mother." you said letting go of her. The next hour was spent with her, telling her how college had been going and catching up on everything.
Moments later another blood drinker entered the room, Maharet excused herself and went to greet them. "It's good to see you Lestat." she said. "And you as well Maharet, forgive me for not attending your meeting. My fans would not let me go." he said. Maharet chuckled. "I'm sure they would not, they do love you dearly." she said. Lestat blushed. "Indeed." he replied. His eyes suddenly darted towards you. He couldn't take his eyes off you for some reason. Why that was he didn't know. "Maharet, who is that young woman speaking with Jesse?" he asked. Maharet smiled. "Oh that is my daughter Y/N, she had been away for a few months. she just returned actually." she said. Jesse left to take a call and that gave Lestat the opportunity to speak with you. He excused himself and walked over to you. "Mind if I join you madame?" asked Lestat. His voice had a bit of a French accent. You looked up to see Lestat. Your heart fluttered at the sight of him. He was really handsome. 6 ft tall, curly brown hair that was almost shoulder length, pale skin, and the most illuminating brown eyes. He was dressed in black leather clothes. He looked like a Rockstar. You nodded. "Of course." you finally said. Lestat smiled and sat down next to you. "wow he's handsome" you thought to yourself. "Why thank you madame." he said. you blushed knowing he read your mind. You spoke to him for a while before introducing yourself. "Ah where are my manners, I'm Y/N." you said extending your hand for him to shake. Lestat smiled. "Y/N, what a beautiful name. I am Lestat de Lioncourt." he said kissing your hand. You blushed. He was such a gentleman. You both spent was seemed like an eternity talking and getting to know each other. After a few hours it was getting late and everyone was leaving.
Before Lestat left he asked if he would see you again. you told him that you would be around and with that he asked you out on a date. You couldn't refuse and told him yes. "until then miss y/n, goodnight." he said as he kissed your hand. "Goodnight Lestat." you said. He smiled and winked at you, making you blush like crazy. By the time you looked up he was gone.
You walked to your room and went inside, closing the door behind you before getting ready for bed. As soon as you lied down you noticed a note by your nightstand. You grabbed it and opened it. You blushed as you realized it was a note from Lestat.
My dearest y/n,
It was a pleasure to meet you this evening, it is something I shall never forget. In the meantime, meet me in the courtyard this Saturday for our date. I do hope to see you again.
with love,
Lestat.
You smiled and set the note back on the nightstand. As you slept that night you couldn't help but think about Lestat and how excited you were to see him again.
