"Hey! There he is!" A joyful yet monotone male voice sounded over the music and partying young adults and teenagers who somehow made it past the bouncer. Most of these people were probably high. Maybe drunk, but mostly high. Colors radiated around the room between flashing lights, glowsticks, dyed hair, neon clothing, one of the few places where people could really let loose and be as crazy as they pleased.

A man in a black leather button-up shirt and cheetah print tie sat down on the floor away from the rest of the crowd next to Stefon. "Hey, Shy!"

"Hey! Why are you over here on the floor?" He swung a leg over his companion's outstretched legs and pulled him close until they were entangled in each other's arms. Normally they would be all over each other, but Stefon's changed relationship status changed their interactions from full-fledged, under-the-influence make out sessions to cuddling as close as they could while trying to preserve the sanctity of a relationship, which they both knew was a drastic change they were going to struggle with since they weren't giving up their party favors. He pulled out a silver flask and handed it to Stefon, who took a long swig of whatever alcohol it contained. He knew he could trust his friend enough to not ask questions. "Why aren't you partying with everyone else? There's a whole group of little people in the corner over there. They're really cool!" He pointed to a corner on the opposite end of the room.

"I know, I already harrassed them!" Stefon joked. "Now I have material for the next time I'm invited on Weekend Update."

"How long have you been here, man?"

"Long enough. A few hours, give or take. Speaking of take, I might've overdid it a bit, Shy."

"Overdid what?"

"Oh, Everything!" Stefon let out a weird half giggle and leaned his head on his friend's chest. Shy adjusted his arms so they were around Stefon's waist, hands locked on his hip.

Shy looked around at the crowd of people. "I've been looking for you all night! We were supposed to meet up, remember?"

"Sorry. I've been sober as hell all day and stressed out of my mind. Seth and I had a bit of a rough start this morning and—"

"He didn't hurt you, did he?" Shy's gaze burned into Stefon's head.

Stefon furrowed his brow and lifted and shook his head. "No," he laid his head back in it's position.  "No no. Nothing like that. We just had a little bit of a verbal dispute but it was far from out of hand. Just... a little upsetting." He paused, then pointed at someone towards the bar. "That guy is totally down for anything and doesn't know it yet."

"Don't change the subject." Shy let go of Stefon with one hand to take a drink from his flask.

"Sorry. Got distracted. Anyway." Stefon drew in a sharp breath. One of the things that made Shy so great was he was always looking out for his friend. Even when he wasn't around, he was very present in the everyday life of Stefon. "So you know how I told you that I wanted to spend more time with Seth? Because he works late nights and I work in the morning so I don't really get to see him all that much because I sleep after work and go out while he's working?"

"Yes,  I know how the schedule works."

"And remember how I asked you to get me some molly so I didn't have to go days being sober if I wanted to go a few days without nightlife so I could spend time with him?"

"I assumed that was where you were going based on the fact you just pretty much said the same thing twice, yes." Monotone was another thing that made Shy so great. He always sounded like a giant helping of sarcasm that everyone took seriously. Being good friends with him, Stefon could tell he was trying to be supportive.
