Veronica arrived at the pharmacy, and went in to look for what she needed for Betty.
She looked in the many isles with medication, trying to figure out which one would help Betty the most. She ended up picking up some ibuprofen and nausea reducer medication.
She then went to look out for, well, the test. She eventually found the small section with the tests, and read each one to see which was the best, most accurate one. She eventually found it, and went to the register to check out.
The cashier caught his eye on the test and said, "If you weren't possibly pregnant, I'd probably ask you out on a date."
"First of all, I have a boyfriend," Veronica responded, "Second of all, it's for my friend who's at home, sick right now."
The cashier scanned the item and replied, "That's what they always say..."
"Do you really want me to complain to your manager?" Veronica questioned.
The cashier went silent and said, "That will be thirty dollars, please."
Veronica sighed and gave the cash to him.
The cashier printed out her receipt and said, "Thank you for shopping with us and have a nice day."
Veronica took her receipt and the bag with the goods, went out of the store, and began to phone in their order for Pop's.
Archie and Jughead were sitting in a booth across from each other at Pop's. Jughead had a mint chocolate chip milkshake with, of course, a burger and fries in front of him, and Archie had a strawberry milkshake with, also, a burger in front of him as well.
"So, how's school been for you?" Jughead asked Archie as he took a bite of his burger.
"Just trying to catch up with all this work so I can graduate on time with you guys," Archie replied.
"Same! Thank god for Betty and Veronica coming to save the day," Jughead said as he ate his burger.
"Speaking of Betty, how is she? Do you know?" Archie asked as he took a sip of his milkshake.
"I think she's okay, Veronica keeps assuring me she is," Jughead said.
Archie saw the worry that rushed over Jughead's face in that moment and said, "Don't worry, Jug, she's in good hands."
"Why wouldn't she call or text me to say anything, though? Is she hiding something from me?" Jughead asked.
"Jug, it's going to be okay. She was probably overwhelmed and didn't want you getting too worried about her. I'm sure that Veronica's taking good care of her," Archie responded.
Veronica suddenly walked in the shop, and walked up to the counter.
"For Veronica Lodge," she said to the person waiting behind the counter.
Veronica caught Archie's eye and smiled and waved.
"Speaking of the devil," Archie said as he got out his seat to greet Veronica as Jughead followed.
Archie walked up to Veronica and kissed her.
"Hi Archiekins!" Veronica greeted.
She saw Jughead behind him and said, "Hi Jug!"
"Hi Veronica," Jughead said, "How's Betty?"
"She's currently in bed resting," Veronica answered.
"Do I need to come back home? Just let me know and-" Jughead started to say.
"Don't worry, Jug, she's fine. She doesn't want you stressed or overwhelmed right now," Veronica interrupted, "I'll let you know if anything comes up, but for now, enjoy your Friday evening with my bo."
