Jughead, Veronica, and Archie all arrived at the cemetery, and got out of Archie's car. They walked through the cemetery, silently and solemnly, and arrived at Jughead and Betty's memorial.
They were silent for a minute, then Jughead commented, "It's like faking my death all over again, except this time I brought Betty along for the ride."
Veronica and Archie didn't say anything, and Jughead went into depth and observed all the kind gifts people had left them.
The Serpent jackets and the beanies are what hit him most in the heart. He was so astonished that so many people had cared about him and Betty, so much so that they had left beanies that looked like the entity of his, and the Serpents had retired their jackets.
"In unity there is strength," he whispered to himself as he was holding a Serpent jacket.
He put the jacket down, and walked back over to Veronica and Archie.
"There's nothing here," Jughead said with no emotion in his voice.
"Did you check behind the grave?" Veronica asked.
Jughead turned around, and looked behind both graves, and, surely enough, Jughead found another letter addressed to him.
Jughead picked it up and went back over to Veronica and Archie.
Veronica, Archie, and Jughead all looked at each other, and Jughead ripped open the envelope.
He found a cassette and folded up piece of paper. He unfolded it, and horror struck.
"What is it, Jug?" Archie asked.
To answer Archie's question, it was his column for Seymour, his fake signature, tallies, and everything with an added written note that read: "You can't escape me."
Jughead was speechless, and just handed the note to Archie for the two to read.
"Oh my god," Veronica said in terror.
"What are we supposed to do now?" Jughead asked with not much left to say.
"We need to get back to the bunker and hear what's on that cassette tape," Archie said.
They all rushed to the car, and quickly sped away.
Everyone in the bunker, Cheryl, Toni, Archie, Veronica, and Jughead; Cheryl and Toni standing next to each other holding the twins next to Archie and Veronica who were standing next to Jughead who was sitting, were at the desk, in front of the cassette tape player as Jughead inserted the tape and snapped it closed.
"Hi Jughead and his friends. I knew you would come looking for Betty, so I placed this tape and a replica behind the memorial and in their room because I didn't know where you would go first, so I thought those were the most probable places you would go. Anyway, if you're ever so curious, Betty had to make the decision to either, and I quote her, 'ruin your life', by either convincing you to stop searching, and that includes investigation, and pick up your drug dealing job again or keep her here with me until she agreed. I don't think she is going to change her mind anytime soon because she firmly refused saying, and I quote her again, 'I'm not letting him ruin his life and his future.'" the tape played, "So until she agrees, too bad so sad. And I'm getting a little bored, so I'm going to lay pressure on her."
The tape ended, and Jughead firmly slammed it against the table and slid it to the side of the desk.
"Guys, we've got to find her NOW or else we'll never forgive ourselves." Archie said.
"But where would we look? We have no evidence whatsoever of her whereabouts," Toni asked.
"And pray tell, what was your business with drug dealing, Jughead?" Cheryl asked.
