Cheryl and Toni were at home, and Cheryl was at her desk going through the last of the questions and concerns from students and parents of Riverdale High...or so she thought.
"TT, when are we ever going to get a break?" Cheryl asked.
"Probably after you finish those questions and concerns," Toni said as she smirked.
Cheryl smirked at Toni, and she finally got to the last question. She answered the question, and put down her phone and turned off her computer.
She went on the bed next to Toni, and, of course, they started making out. Toni had started to take her shirt off, but suddenly Cheryl's phone rang.
"Ugh, I better go take this," Cheryl said, clearly upset.
"Hello?" Cheryl asked.
"Oh my god! When are we going to have school again? When is the lock down going to be over?" the person on the line rambled on.
The person on the line just kept going on, and on, and on. At one point, Cheryl couldn't handle it anymore, and Cheryl suddenly dropped her phone, and fell to the floor.
Toni got off the bed and rushed to her side.
"CHERYL!" Toni yelled.
I guess it was just fate that Cheryl Blossom, lesbian leader of the cheerleaders and student body president, was having a seizure after mostly all her friends had had seizures before. It was almost a year after the whole 'seizure pandemic' had passed over Riverdale, but apparently it had infected someone once more.
After Cheryl's seizure, Toni had gotten Cheryl up into their bed to rest. Cheryl had not yet arisen, but Toni had called all of their friends to let them know what happened, and they were all already on their way to see them.
Veronica and Archie were the first ones to arrive.
Veronica came in the room, and took a seat right next to Cheryl.
"Toni, is she okay?" Veronica asked.
"One moment she was just on the phone, the next she was on the floor having a seizure." Toni told Veronica.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Toni," Veronica said.
"It's okay, I'm sure she'll pull through like she always does," Toni said.
Josie and Kevin came in the room together and Kevin said, "We came as soon as we could."
"Is she okay? What happened?" Josie asked.
"Cheryl had a seizure, and she should be okay," Toni said.
"I'm so sorry this happened," Kevin said.
"It's ok, it wasn't your fault," Toni said.
"Toni?" Cheryl said as she slowly woke up.
"Hi, babe, how are you feeling?" Toni asked as she held Cheryl's hand.
"I just feel a little weird, but what happened? Why are all of our friends here?" Cheryl asked.
"You had a seizure, and everyone's here because they are worried about you," Toni answered.
"Well they shouldn't be because they all know I'm a bad bitch who takes no shit," Cheryl said.
Everyone laughed, and Veronica suddenly got a notification on her phone.
"They can't do this!" Veronica yelled as she stood up from her seat.
"What are you talking about Veronica?" Toni said.
"Just turn on the news and see for yourself," Veronica said.
Toni turned on the TV, and switched it to the news channel.
"Hello, Riverdale. This is your anchor, Alice Smith, with the latest news." Alice said.
Alice read what she was supposed to say, and started to look upset, so she deflected from saying it and said, "I'm going to pass this one over to Sheriff Jones and Principal Honey."
FP and Mr. Honey came on the screen, and FP said, "Hello Riverdale. First off, I want to address, at the Riverdale Police Department, we understand your concerns about the lockdown. The lockdown will be over once whoever is sending the tapes and threats is caught. But until then, no one can leave or enter Riverdale."
"And school is canceled until further notice," Principal Honey added.
"But we're here to discuss a bigger issue," FP said.
"After months of searching the in's and out's of Riverdale and other towns and looking for evidence for their whereabouts, we have no other choice but to declare my son, Jughead Jones, and his girlfriend, Betty Cooper, dead." FP said, "We will be hosting a memorial to remember their memories in the near future. I want to thank you all for your continuous support in this search."
Toni turned off the TV and everyone sat in silence.
"They can't be dead! They must be out there somewhere!" Veronica said.
"Veronica, there's been no sign of them for four months," Kevin said.
"And even if they were out there, I'm pretty sure they know that Riverdale isn't a safe place where they got kicked out of their own home," Toni said.
Veronica sighed and Archie put his arm around her and said, "Ronnie this is going to be hard on all of us. I mean they were our best friends."
"Don't say were, they are our best friends, and I know they're out there somewhere," Veronica said as Archie hugged her and she cried into his shoulder.
Cheryl's seizure was only a representation of all of their stress from now and these past few months. Now, their friends were now 'dead' and they were in lockdown. Was there calm before or after the storm? Never in Riverdale.
