It was close to midnight, and Archie pulled up in front of the Pembrooke to pick up Veronica. She was waiting outside, and strolled up to Archie's car and got in.

Archie kissed Veronica and Veronica asked, "Are you ready to shake down Penny Peabody, Archiekins?"

"Why of course, Ronnie. Anything to save my best friend from a prison hell hole," Archie said as he and Veronica sat back in their seats and drove away.

Jughead was sneaking back into the bunker as usual with $1000 cash in his pocket from some deliveries, and encountered Betty, waiting for him there in the living room.

"Betty, what are you doing up so-" Jughead started to ask.

"When did you become a liar?" Betty asked, interrupting him.

"And what do you mean by that?" Jughead asked.

"I wanted to send you a little something as a treat for doing so well with work and everything, and I called the hotel and they said they didn't know anybody by the name of Justin Jackson. So I did some more digging, and I found this in your serpent jacket pocket," Betty said, holding up a pager, "And so I was a little confused and put off by this, so I dug deeper."

Betty held up one of his cash stacks and said, "I found multiple stacks of cash hidden in your dresser drawers, jackets, and wherever else you can hide things in this bunker."

Betty walked up very close to Jughead, already getting nervous and sweating a bit, and caught her eye on another stack of cash in his pocket from his deliveries that day.

She yanked it out of his pocket and asked, "Multiple stacks of cash and a pager can only mean one thing."

"Are you a drug dealer, Jughead?" Betty asked.

"Betty, I can explain-" Jughead said.

"Unbelievable," Betty said as she walked away from him.

"Betty, do you want to know why I did it and am doing this?" Jughead asked.

Betty stopped and turned around and sarcastically said, "Sure, why not. I have nothing better to do."

"Do you know how much I hate doing this, Betty? A LOT. Am I ashamed? Yes, I hate myself for it. But would it help my family? Yes, it would and it would keep our identities somewhat safe. I wouldn't do this if didn't have the person I love so much more than myself and I expecting a child that we are going to raise for the rest of our lives." Jughead explained.

A tear rolled down Jughead's face as he walked up to Betty.

"You are my world, Betty, and I'm not going to let our ship sink," Jughead said as he started to cry.

Betty walked up to Jughead, and she hugged him tightly as he cried into her shoulder.

After a few minutes, Betty put a hand on Jughead's cheek and said, "Just promise me one thing. When I give birth to this baby, please, please don't continue on with this job."

"Thank you so much, Betts, for forgiving me." Jughead said.

"Anything for you, Juggie," Betty said.

"And also, I have an idea," Jughead said.

"And what is that?" Betty asked, smiling.

"Maybe, sometime after you give birth and after I drop this job, like when the baby is like a month old, we go back to Riverdale?" Jughead suggested.

Betty nodded, smiled, giggled, and kissed Jughead.

"Also, I have another idea," Betty said, "How about we take this back to the bedroom?"

Jughead and Betty smirked, and Jughead picked up Betty, carrying her back to their bedroom as they made out.

Archie and Veronica arrived to the address, and found that it was a trailer in a trailer park in Greendale.

Both of them got out of the car, and went up to the trailer that they were looking for, and knocked on the door.

Shockingly, Penny answered it and asked, "What do you two dimwit high schoolers want?"

Veronica started secretly recording a voice tape on her phone and she asked, "We are just going to give you a simple question that you'll have to answer."

"And what if I don't answer your stupid question?" Penny asked.

"I'll have him beat you up until you can't move anymore," Veronica said as Archie cracked his knuckles and neck.

"Fine. What do you want to know?" Penny asked.

"You delivered a box of jingle jangle and fizzle rocks to La Bonne Nuit a month ago anonymously. Why?" Veronica asked.

"Plain and easy, my business associate told me to," Penny responded.

"Which of your business associates was it?" Veronica asked.

"You said I only had to answer one question," Penny deflected.

Archie grabbed her by the shirt and said, "Don't test me."

"Hiram Lodge. Now can you two leave or do I have to answer more of your dumb questions?" Penny answered.

Veronica sighed and Archie let Penny go and they left.

Veronica and Archie arrived back at the Pembrooke, and Archie parked the car and they both headed inside.

Luckily, Hiram was in his study, still working late into the night.

Archie and Veronica barged in and Hiram stood up and asked, "What is the meaning of this, Archie and Veronica?"

"You were the one who sent a package to La Bonne Nuit and got Reggie arrested because of it," Veronica said.

"You sent me to jail, so I thought I might get a little payback," Hiram said.

"Correction, you sent yourself to jail, daddy," Veronica said.

"And you're gonna pay for what you did to Reggie," Archie said.

"Now I'm gonna go stay at Archie's tonight because I can't stand to be in the same house as a drug lord," Veronica told Hiram as she stormed out of the room with Archie following behind her.

Archie and Veronica arrived back at his house, and they went into his room and Archie locked the door as Veronica paced back and forth.

Archie put his hands on both her shoulders and stopped her and asked, "What's wrong, Ronnie?"

"What if he gets away with it and Reggie serves time for something he didn't do?" Veronica asked, "I don't think I'll be able to handle that again."

A tear rolled down Veronica's cheek and Archie said, "Veronica, you can handle this. You stand tall, even when the worst is put on you. You are the strongest person I know. And through it all, I'll be right here next to you, loving you to the moon and back."

Veronica formed a small smile on her face and looked at Archie. She kissed him, and it seemed like that moment lasted for an eternity. Come three months, there would be a court case and a prison for whoever fell guilty.
