Lucy's POV

On the car ride to the Police Station, everyone was eerily quiet. Natsu and I sat in the back of Gray's car. I wasn't nervous but I wasn't happy to be going. At this point, I wasn't in such a shell shock to see the man that ruined my life.

We exited the car and I saw Gray slip and full-loaded gun to Natsu, "We don't know what to expect." Gray spoke in a whisper to Natsu but I still heard it. I watched the two out of the corner of my eye until we reached Laxus. Mira met us beside him and asked for my badges, so I didn't have to fill out a bunch of mundane forms. I pulled them out of my bag and let her scan me in. Gray and I walked in while Natsu had to fill out those mundane forms. We listened to Natsu groan about how idiotic those forms where. Mira just giggled and continued handing him paper after paper, "So, you don't look as worked up as I thought you'd be." Gray nudged me.

"I truthfully don't care what he says to me because I've probably heard it all before. I just don't want him to touch me. As long as he's a good distance away from me I can do my job."

"That's what we're here to do, Lu." Laxus tapped my back as he walked up next to me. Laxus and I went to the same college but he was two years ahead of me. We took a couple of classes together and everyone thought we were twins. Gray nodded in agreement and gave Laxus a knife from his pocket.

"What the hell is that!" I stepped back and raised my voice.

"Relax, Lu. Gray and Erza found the knife on Jude's person." Laxus chuckled and put on his gloves to take it.

"Wait! You had that on you the whole time!! Did Juvia know?"

"Yes. I told her before we got to the house." Gray said in a matter of fact way. I waited 'til Laxus put the knife in a bag to step closer. But before I could step back where I originally was Natsu wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his chest. I gasped in surprise, tensing up a little. I calmed down when I realized his familiar warmth,

"You're fine, Luce." He chuckled a little. I didn't feel fine though. I started taking in my surroundings and saw supposed criminals staring and eyeing me. I sunk into Natsu more while Gray and Laxus continued their official officer work. Natsu stroked his callous fingers down my arm lightly to help calm me down. It was working but only for a little bit.

They brought my father out and looking at him did make me nervous, but I kept reminding myself that he couldn't hurt me. The same thought played over and over in my head while going into the interrogation room. Laxus stood behind the glass and Gray was standing behind me. Natsu sat beside me and held onto my arm while I flipped through paperwork.

Natsu's grip would fluctuate every time my father would shout an insult. I glanced beside me to see Natsu trying to understand what I was looking at. I giggled and then straighten out my face and looked up at my father, "Now, Father, do we really have to do this?"

"You think that giving me that bullshit attitude will make me apologize for whatever you think I've done wrong." Jude scoffed. I felt Natsu's eyes go back and forth between us as we glared at each other.

"Look, I don't give a shit about some apology. What I care about is that you understand what you did wrong. The only reason here is because mom was the only other person who would have taken care of you!"

"You know damn well that you killed your mother!"

"She died of an illness none of us could control! Don't blame me for the death of my own mother!" Anger spiraled out of control as I yelled back at my father, slamming my hands on the table. I stood slightly before Natsu pulled me back down.

"Oh, so you let him touch you! A Dragneel! Is this how desperate you are for love?"

"What does the Dragneel family have anything to do with our family problems?!" I could feel the veins in my head popping out.
