Chapter 14 - Crisis on Infinite Earths: Hour One

3rd Person POV

Barry skids to a stop in the middle of the street. Mack jumps off his back, looking around

"Cisco, what have you got?" Barry asks through the comms, both waiting for a response. "Is this an isolated event?" He asks. Static. "Is it everywhere?" Static. Mack and Barry share a look. "Try your comms." He tells his daughter

"Cisco?" Mack asks but only receives static. "Mom?" But there's no response

A bright white light flashes with an outlined figure standing in the middle. Barry puts a protective arm in front of Mack

A familiar face emerges from the light. "Lyla?" Barry asks, his hand dropping to his side

"I'm Harbinger now." Lyla answers. "I'm working with the Monitor."

"He sent you to get me?" Barry asks. "Because the Crisis is here?"

"That is correct." Lyla answers

"I'm ready." Barry says

"Well, I'm not." Mack answers, looking from her father to Lyla. She looks at Barry again. "I don't want you to leave me..." She whispers, eyes filling with tears

"Worry not, MacKenzie Raymond." Lyla says, pulling both Mack's and Barry's attention over. "You will not separate. You as well are a pivotal part in this crisis."

"What?" Barry breathes. "No one ever said anything about my daughter--" But he's cut off with a bright flash of white light, taking the two away

A red tint had taken over Earth 38 (aka Supergirl's earth). The entire city starts to rumble as a tower erupts through the ground.

"This is a new problem." Oliver says

"I can handle it." Kara says

Lyla flashes in with Ray (ATOM), Sara (White Canary), Barry (Flash), and MacKenzie (Tremors) who all look up at the other heroes on the platform above them: Kara (Supergirl), Oliver (Green Arrow), Mia Smoak, Clark Kent (Superman), Lois, Kate Kane (Batwoman), Brainy, Alex, J'onn,

"Wait, the tower isn't a threat." Barry stops the group on the platform in front of them from acting on the threat

"How do you know?" Oliver asks

"It's a quantum tower, apparently." Ray says

"And it's the only thing that can save the people of this world." Lyla tells the group

The group convenes in the center of the DEO. Lyla pulls up scans on the screen as the groups of heroes listen and watch

"At the dawn of time, the Monitor placed quantum towers on key Earths as a last line of defense." Lyla says. "The red skies are dissipating, which means it's working."

"From this design, it looks like the tower is capable of generating a quantum flux field." Brainy says. "Which can, theoretically--"

"Reverse the exogenic state of the anti-matter wave, thereby dissipating the anti-matter energy." Mack finishes

"Yes." Brainy says. "Finally, someone who speaks my language."

"I gotchu man." Mack tells him, flipping him peace signs

"Love your suit." Ray tells Kate. "If you want, I can probably give it an upgrade--"

"Depends on how attached you are to your hand." Kate says, grabbing his hand

"Pretty attached." Ray says

"So the tower can stop this Earth from being destroyed?" Oliver asks
