After me and Big Red finished eating we skated a little bit doing tricks.
We sat on top of the ramps just scrolling on our phones. I hear Big Red laughing and look at him. He scoots closer and shows me his phone.
It's a video of EJ dancing to the song from Sharkboy and Lavagirl. I laugh too and look to see who posted it. I look at the name and see it's Nini. My smile instantly goes away and I look away from the phone.
Big Red thinks nothing of it and goes back to looking at his phone. I look in the corner of my eye and see he's still looking at Nini's story. I see a picture EJ kissing Nini's cheek.
I roll my eyes and look back at my phone and smile. I'm on Instagram looking at EJ's pictures this one is my favorite. One of him in the mirror with no shirt on. My face goes red as I sigh starting at my crush.
"Hey Ricky look at th- eww bro really you're stalking his page again?"
"WHAT?! NO, THAT'S WEIRD!" I say hiding my phone.
"Do you like all his pictures too?" Big Red says laughing.
"No."
"Yeah, ok." He says not believing.
"no seriously, I don't follow him or like his post. I want to but I don't want him thinking I'm some person who's obsessed with him." I say sadly.
"Well sorry to break it to you but you already are that person. Here let me help you out." He says grabbing my phone.
"What are you doing?"
"There now your following him so it won't be weird if you like his post. See I liked the first three for you." He says proudly showing me my phone.
He did it! He actually did it!
"Are you crazy why would you do that?" I asked scared.
"Hey this what you wanted so don't act like your not happy."
Ok maybe I am happy about this but it's not like he'll follow me back.
"Whatever." I say
He laughs but is interrupted when his phone rings. He takes it out his pocket and looks at it. "Oh it's my mom."
I nod and let him take the call. When he gets off he tells me his mom wants him home. "Do you want to go back home or stay with me for the night?"
"If it's not a problem can I stay with you?"
He picks up his skateboard and walks towards me slinging his arm around my shoulders. "Of course you can stay I don't mind at all and neither will my mom and dad."
I nod and we skate back to his house. When we get there we're greeted by him mom and dad.
"Hey guys enjoyed the skatepark?" His mom asked.
"Yeah we did and by the way Ricky is staying the night."
"Ok that's fine with us." His dad says.
We go down to the basement and put our skateboards near the steps.
"You should text your parents. Tell them you're staying the night." Big Red suggests.
"Yeah right."
