Ricky's POV- Just finished the first week of school! Was it hard? Kind of. Do I have some homework? Yes.But that doesn't matter right now, because I'm going to EJ's house. No I didn't call him to tell him but I show up to his house whenever and his aunt and uncle don't seem to mind. I jump off my skateboard picking it up and walking to the door. I check my reflection in the window, fixing my hair and clothes before ringing the doorbell. The door opens and I smile hoping to see EJ but I was met with Ashlyn. Not that I didn't want to see her, she's really nice and cool. "Hey Rick!" "Hi!" I say walking in the house. "Uh...EJ's not here right now but he should be soon." I nod my head sitting on the couch. "Where did he go?" She freezes, her eyes going wide. She doesn't say anything for awhile so turn to look at her. "You ok Ash?" I ask. She nods her head, clearing her throat. "Yeah...uh...sorry, I don't know where EJ went but I'll ask my dad." She says before rushing upstairs. Hmm weird, I shrug it off and go to the kitchen getting a drink. I go back on the couch and turn on the tv. I flip through channels before stopping on the news. "Yes you heard it right. Human sized robotic flies are attaching Utah!" What?! How come I didn't hear anything on my way here? I hope dad's ok. Wait...EJ! I should call him! "We recommend everyone stay inside until....hold on a second I'm getting something....our local superhero's are here!" The camera man zooms in on the three superheroes. They mostly show the guy and I'm not gonna lie He's kinda hot —————————————————— Dennis POV- "EJ watch out on your right! No your other right! Brook, now would be a good time to use those fire powers to melt those things! Gi you might want to speed out of there! " I scream through the microphone. I hear my door open but don't look. Debby and Ashlyn know not to come in my office while I'm on a mission. "Dad?" My daughter says quietly. "EJ! Forcefield! Now! Ash you know better not be in here." "I-I know but EJ might want to..." "Brook use your fire powers!" "But I don't want to burn anything." She whines through the speaker. "You won't burn anything you know how to control it! Sorry ash what were you saying?" "Oh, right. I was just saying EJ might want to come soon because Ricky's here." "Curls!" EJ chirps." "EJ pay attention, watch out on your..." Before I could finish he got thrown across the street into the window of a shop. "Ow! That's got to hurt." Ashlyn says from the side of me. He quickly gets up shaking his head brushing the glass from his suit. "I'm ok!" I zoom out of my camera looking around the area. I only see one more bug and then they're all set. "Guys there's only one more bug around the corner but it's not that big you guys can defeat it." "You got it Mr. Caswell." Gina says before grabbing Brook and EJ's hand and speeding to the area. I look over at Ashlyn, her eyes gazing around my desk at all the equipment. I know that face, that's the face she makes when she's fascinated by something. "How about for the next mission you can sit next to me and I'll teach you how to work everything?" She looks up at me with wide eyes and a huge smile on her face. "Really?!" She squeals. I nod my head smiling at her. "Yup but first you should go back downstairs and keep Ricky company until EJ gets back." "Oooh, tell Ricky I'm..." but before my nephew could finish he gets thrown into a window, again. "EJ if you don't pay attention I will tell him to leave!" "No don't! I promise I'll pay attention!" He whines like a child. "I'll tell him you're at the gym with Gi and Brook, now quit thinking about him and save the city!" Ashlyn yells into my mic. "That's my girl already knowing how to run things." "Ugh! Go away Ash." "Shut up EJ, before you get thrown into another wall!" "Ok Ash go check on Ricky and EJ focus so you can kill that thing!" They both go quite before doing what I told them to do. These two really do fight like brother and sister. ——————————————————Ashlyn's POV- Ok Ashlyn you got this, all you have to do is lie to Ricky and say EJ is at the gym. So what if lying is wrong, I have to do it to keep EJ's secret. "H-hey Rick...uh I found out EJ's at the...gym, yup h-he's at the gym with Brook and Gina and they should be here soon and they're totally safe and not in any danger or fighting anything right now." If you can't tell I'm terrible at lying. "Uh, ok." He says with a hint of confusion in his voice. I look at the tv and see it's on the news, which happens to be showing my cousin and our two friends. "Thank you guys so much for saving the city once again." The news lady says. "No need to thank us, it's our job." EJ says smiling into the camera. "Now I'm going to ask something everyone wants to know, what are the names of our superheroes?" They all look at each other confused not sure what to say. Of course they didn't come up with names. "Well I'm Flame." Brook says confidently. "And I'm Widow." Gina says smiling. Then the microphone goes to EJ, he looks like he's thinking. Then he smiles and looks up. "And I'm Bionic Man." I smile to myself at the fact that his name was similar to his dad's "Well, there you have it folks, Flame, Widow and Bionic Man our superheroes." I turn to Ricky who looks at me at the same time. "Wow, there are actually superheroes in our town." "Yeah." Was the only thing I could say. I had no idea could come out my mouth. "What if they're just kids like us? What if they went to East High and we just don't know it?" I stand in the middle of the room silent. Yes they are kids like us and yes they do go to East High and we know them! Before I could explode the door opens and in walks EJ, Brook and Gina. "Finally your here! Are you guys ok, we saw what was going on, on the news." They all look at each other with scared eyes. "Uh...yeah we're all good we stayed inside the gym until the bugs were gone." Brook says clearing her throat after. Ricky gets up from his seat and goes to EJ, who's arms are open, but backs away scrunching his nose. His smile drops as he puts his arms back at his side. "What's wrong curls?" He takes a step closer and Ricky backs away. "You stink and you're sweaty, all three of you are." He said pointing at them and he wasn't wrong, they do smell like an onion sub. "Hey guys your back can I talk you for a second?" My dad ask. They nod their heads and go upstairs to my dads office. Ricky gives me a concerned look and in give him a small smile. "It's ok they aren't in trouble." —————————————————— EJ's POV- We were all seated down in my uncle's office trying to catch our breaths. We did just come back from a mission after all. "What were those things?" Gina says taking a sip of her water. "These things are something I have never seen before." "Yeah and we have to figure who sent them and what they want." My uncle holds his hand up and we all stop talking turning our attention to him. "We don't know anything about those things or who sent them, all we know is that they are dangerous. They might not attack again or they may, so we need to keep our eyes open. I'm also going to need your suits to add some extra armor and maybe some gadgets." We all hand him our suits, trying to stay calm. When he sends us out his room we all start dancing around excitedly. "We're going to have gadgets put in our suits!" I whisper yell. "Ohh I want the web things that spider man has!" Gina squeals. "What if I had rocket blasters!" Brook adds. After saying all the different gadgets we would want Gina and Brook left and I went to take my shower. I walk downstairs in some shorts and socks to see Ricky laying on the couchWith a blanket over him. I guess Ashlyn put it on him. He looks so cute I have to take a picture.

I go over to him and pick him up making sure not to wake him. I carefully carry him upstairs to my room and gently lay him down. He immediately grabs my stuffed bear Franklin, pulling it close to his chest. He really seems to like him, I might have to give it to him. I close my door quietly and go into bed next to him. He starts to wake up but I pull him into my chest rubbing his back. "Shh, go back to sleep bubba." I whisper kissing his forehead. He nuzzles his head in my neck making my face feel hot and my stomach feeling funny. "This is just a friendly thing to do it doesn't mean anything" I say to myself. I slowly start to fall asleep still hugging the curly head boy next to me.
Y'all I got a new book cover and suites! Life is good I just want to thank you again to the two amazing people who helped me out because my cover was trash and my suits sucked. Anyways hope you guys all had a good Christmas yesterday if you celebrated it. Next chapter I will try to publish it 12-28-20. Stay safe!
