Chapter 21: What if I make her vampire?

Penelope's POV:

According to drunk Sebastian the ascendant should be somewhere in the old Lockwood cellar.

"This is kinda creepy" Lizzie mumbled

"So you're walking in the forest with a vampire and this is cellar is creepy to you?" I smirked

Lizzie rolled her eyes "why did you bring me with you anyways?"

"Would you rather be with Sebastian who was too drunk to even walk?"

"No....."

"Then there you go" I shrugged

We walked around the cellar looking for it but we didn't find anything.

"How does it even look like?" She asked

I looked at her "I have no clue"

"Seriously?! You come looking for something that you have no idea how it looks!" She complained with her arms crossed.

"Just look for something that looks, important!"

We continued looking around

"You mean like this?" She said

I walked towards her and theres was a small box.

I grabbed the box but I immediately dropped to the ground when my hands started to burn.

"Really!" I cried in pain.

"What just happened?" She asked picking up the box.

"I can't touch it has vervain all around it!"

She laughed "For a bad ass vampire a godamn herb is your weakness?"

"Whatever, just take it and we get out of here!" I rolled my eyes and we left the cellar.

My hands eventually healed she opened the box while we were in the forest.

"Okay so what do we do with it now?" She asked while holding the ascendant and looking at me.

"We ta-" I immediately stopped talking as soon I saw her hands glow!

"What is it?!" She asked

"You're hands!"

She looked at her hands but they didn't glow anymore "what about them?"

What the hell did I just witness!

"Nevermind"

My phone started ringing it was Jade

"Jade how can I help you?"

"Where are you?! Did you find him?"

"I did but..."

"Who is that?" Lizzie asked.

"Is that Lizzie?!" Jade asked

"Maybe...."

"We're at the forest" Lizzie screamed in the phone.

"We're coming there" she said as she hung up

"Why would you tell them where we are?" I asked

"Maybe because it's getting dark and I don't trust you" she shrugged.

"Fair enough"

We started heading back before I heard Josie yelling Lizzie's name.

"Penelope" Jade said while standing across me.

"Jade"

"What are you doing here with Penelope?! Lizzie" Josie said looking at Lizzie

"We we're just looking for something"
