Chapter 33: You're right, She's not.

Josie's POV:

We were getting ready for the founder's day, Lizzie didn't really talk to me since yesterday. I wonder what's up with her, I mean. Don't get me wrong, I tried to talk to her but she shuts me off.

"Ow. This dress hurts." I groaned sofly in pain.

"Suck it in, baby." Hope laughed as she was helping me.

I stared at myself in the mirror a couple of minutes before we headed out.

Jade's POV:

I was at the school already where the event was suppose to be, I waited for Josie. I walked around slowly everyone was organising things, men were dressed in them old clothes. Huh, this just really reminds me of the past.

Mrs. donovan was bossing people around while the other's cheered for this event, it's funny how they don't know half of this story.

"Look at you, all retro." Penelope said as she walked up to me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as we continued to walk.

"Why wouldn't I be here? Hope deactivated the device. Paige's gone. Heh. And it's founder's day." She chuckled, "I'm here to eat cotton candy and steal your girl." She smiled.

I scoffed, "don't start with me, Penelope."

"Oh. You started it Jade, with the whole 'I'm insecure, leave Josie alone' speech, I'm just enjoying that." She said dramatically.

"As long as you heard it."

"Huh? What?" She joked.

I chuckled, "you have no sense of humor, Jade." She shrugged.

"Actually, I just don't have no sense of Penelope humor." I said as I walked away.

"Penelope humor- hey, look. I get it. I get it." She said as she walked in front of me, "I'm the better, hotter, superior choice, and you're scared now that I've become less...dangerous that I'm gonna turn all my attention to Josie. But don't worry. Josie is not Sabrina."

Sabrina? I almost forgot, Sabrina is- was a heretic, let's say. Penelope loved her, I mean. We both did.

"You're right. She's not." I nodded but Penelope's attention wandered somewhere else, I turned around to her direction.

And there she was, Josie in her dress. She was beautiful, she looked at me and smiled.

Lizzie's POV:

Josie went her own way the minute we arrived at the school field. I, on the other hand, was looking for Rafael since he was suppose to be my date on the float.

"There you are!" I walked up to him.

"Hey." He smiled.

"How do I look?" I asked, showing off my dress which took hours to get in.

"You....look, great!" He said as he kissed me on the cheek.

I smiled at him, he bowed to me and we walked to the float.

While we were waiting for it to be ready, I was thinking about what dad said. And I was willing to help him with it, I mean. If he says that they're all monster, he must have a good reason for it. I trust him.

Josie's POV:

"Lizzie? Is- is that even possible?" I asked in shock.

"Well, there's no proof, but Penelope said her hands wer glowing and she had more strength than usually."
