Chapter 20: Why is it always Love!

Jade's POV:

"Any idea where you'll go?" I asked

"I don't know. London, maybe...see some friends" Penelope said looking out the window

"You don't have any friends, Penelope"

"You're right, Jade. I only have you, so....where are we goin?"

" 'we' are not going anywhere. I'm gonna live my life as far away from you as possible"

"But we're a team. We could travel the world together" she smirked as she moved away from the window walking towards me.

"It's funny...but seriously where are you goin? Because we're not staying in this town."

Suddenly we heard a knock on the door

"I'll get it" she smiled as she walked to the door.

"Sheriff Mac. How can I help you?" She asked

"Sorry to bother you but we need to talk"

"Sure" Penelope said as they headed outside and closed the door.

I wonder what this is about, I sat on the couch trying to figure out what they were talking about.

I saw Penelope come in. That was fast.

"What did she want?" I asked

"Why do we care. We're leaving anyway, right?" She smirked

I looked at her annoyed but I knew she was right, We were suppose to leave but if there are still attacks or that vampires are still in town I can't leave.

Penelope walked towards the mini bar pouring herself a drink.

"No, I can't leave now, and you know that.....I thought that guy Sebastian left town?"

"So did I, but it doesn't look like it" she said as she grabbed her jacket and was heading out.

"Where are you going?" I asked

"To find out why he didn't leave"

"Wait! I'm coming with you"

"I thought you said there's no we" she smiled "go let Josie know that you're staying I bet she misses you" she smirked and left.

I can't leave yet before I know she is safe.

Josie's POV:

I woke up this morning not knowing if I should feel sad that Jade is leaving or grateful that Hope survived it.

I went downstairs to get some breakfast as I saw dad talking to Lizzie.

"Hey, what's going on?" I smiled

"I was just telling Lizzie that I want both of you home before it gets dark"

I saw Lizzie rolling her eyes

"Sure but why?" I asked

"With all these attacks that are happening in here. Im just scared for you girls" he smiled.

I mean he is right and I feel so guilty for lying to him by not telling him what happened these past few days but I don't want to drag him into that aswell.

We sat down by the table and ate some breakfast before dad drove us to school.

"Should I walk with you?" He asked

"Dad! What are we 5?" Lizzie rolled her eyes.

I let out a soft laugh

He chuckled "okay, have fun girls and like I said I want you both home before it gets dark"
