Chapter 36: Ouch, Now I'm hurt.

Josie's POV:

We spend the whole night in the hospital, I was with dad while Lizzie was staying with Rafael. The morning came quick. According to the doctors dad was able to go home with us already.

"Lizzie you should come home, Rafael would want you to." I said to Lizzie.

She looked exhausted and she needs a good sleep after what happened.

"No, I'm fine. I'll wait with him." She looked at me.

I looked at her and gave her a hug, We still didn't get the chance to talk about that she might be a witch, but right now it's not the time.

"You should go Lizzie, I feel better already." Rafael mumbled.

"Raf! You're awake." Lizzie rushed to him with excitement.

"Josie's right, you need to get some sleep you look more tired than I am." He chuckled.

"Come on, Lizzie." I looked at them with a smile.

"Okay, but I'll come back." She looked at Rafael as we walked out of his room.

"You're in love with him aren't you?" I teased.

But Lizzie quickly denied it, "No! I'm just....."

"Okay. Let's head home now" I chuckled.

We headed home with dad.

"I can walk by myself girls." He complained.

"Oh just give it up already, dad. You don't have to act tough around us." Lizzie teased as we were helping him get into the house.

He smiled at her, "okay I can take it from here" he said as we walked in the living room.

He sat on the couch, "thank you girls, I don't know what I would do without you." He smiled.

"Yes dad, you'd be doomed without us." Lizzie teased and made her way in her room.

I looked at dad, "I'm glad you're okay." I smiled

"I'm sorry Josie, for what I've done to...."

"I'm not the one who should get the apology dad. But let's not talk about that, I just wanna have a normal day without any....."

"Vampires?" He asked

I nodded and headed upstairs.

Jade's POV:

"Have you heard anything from Sebastian? He's been awfully quiet since...you know." I asked Penelope who was too focused on her book.

"I'd rather not interact with him now" she shrugged not taking her eyes off the book.

"Why?"

Right, he probably turned his switch off after that.

I should check on Josie, she hasn't called since last night.

I pulled out my phone about to call her when she sends me a message, (we're already home, I'm gonna stay in today to keep an eye on dad and Lizzie.)

Okay, that should give me some time to figure out why Brina is here.

"I'm heading out." I said as I grabbed my jacket.

Penelope stood up from the couch, "so where we're heading?"

"Josie's staying with her dad and Lizzie, it gives me an head start to figure out why Brina is here."

"That's true. But......" she smiled.
