Josie's POV:

"I'm suppose to help build the Miss Mystic Float for the founder's day parade. If I don't, I get the wrath of Lizzie. But I wanted to check in first." I said to Penelope on the phone.

"Well, I'm doing great. Thanks for asking."

"I'm checking on Jade."

"Oh her, oh. She's terrible."

"What's the matter?"

"She's just back to boring, strait-laced, off the junk. You've successfully cured her of anything that was interesting about her personality."

I rolled my eyes "don't forget who helped me."

"I hate myself." She chuckled. "Hey, did daddy dearest mention anything to you about my field trip with Sebastian?"

"No, actually I've been avoiding him. Why? Is he up to something?"

"I don't know. But I'd love it if you could find out for me."

"I gotta go. I'm late."

"Have fun with the Mystic queen. I know I did."

I scoffed as I hung up on her and headed to school.

Lizzie's POV:

"Alright show me" Hope said.

I typed in the computer to show her last year's Miss Mystic Floats.

"Let's reference last year's Miss Mystic Falls." I said as I was typing. "This is what they did last year." I showed her.

"And it's exactly what we don't want to do." I looked at Hope.

"Ew."

"Yeah."

"Ok. So what are we doing?" She smiled.

"Southern classic elegance." I smiled.

"Gone with the wind?"

"How did you know?" I looked at her suprised.

"You talk about it alot" she smiled

"So true."

"Yeah"

We both chuckled.

I looked around, "uhh. Where's Josie? She's supposed to be helping."

"I don't know." she shrugged.

"Ok, what's the deal?" I asked

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb. You and Josie are fighting. Spill."

"It's nothing."

"It's not nothing. You know, this whole float is supposed to be about friends creating something together, and everyone is fighting." I sighed.

She looked at me and shrugged.

"And I can't fix it if I don't know what's wrong."

"I can't talk about it, Lizzie. I'm sorry." She shrugged.

Josie's POV:

After school I headed home, Lizzie was going to the grill. So I decided to come straight home.

I saw dad sitting on the couch, it seemed like he was trying to figure something out from the book he was reading.

"Hey baby, can we talk?" He asked.

"Uh, I actually-"

"I know that you're avoiding me, Josie. But we have to talk." He said as he stood up.
