Lizzie's POV:

Dad was still passed out on the ground, the lady that kidnapped me left. Her friends on the other hand watched over us so that we don't escape.

"Did you kill him?!" I asked the guy

He looked at me and didn't reply.

Great!

Then I saw dad waking up, I put him on the chair grabbing a cloth to help him clean off the blood.

"Thank god! You're okay."

He looked at me, "I'm sorry, she got you into this." He said soflty.

"Well, I am kind of involved in everything lately." I scoffed.

I cleaned the blood off his head, he groaned in pain. "Sorry." I said.

"What is she after?" I asked.

He looked at me and sighed, "a device that's extremely harmful to vampires. We've been trying to get it."

"Why?"

"Cause there's a group of vampires that came back to town who want revenge on this town." He looked at me.

"But why- why would a vampire help you kill other vampires?"

"She has he own reasons for wanting them dead. Look, baby. No one thought vampires would return to this town again, not now. But they have. And we have to destroy them."

"All of them? No- there are some good ones out there."

Dad slowly shaked his head, "I thought that too, back in the days. But at the end they're all just monsters."

Josie's POV:

We watched Hope remove the spell from the device so that it can't be used...like it's supposed to be used? I guess.

We all watched closely what she was doing when suddenly Penelope starts humming, I looked at her annoyingly. She rolled her eyes and stopped.

The lights started to flicker, the flames on the candles went higher. Jade slowly rubbed my back to reassure me.

"Done." Hope looked at me as she held her hand open, "Great." Penelope complained.

I walked closer to Hope taking the device, "now what?" Penelope asked.

"Now we give to Paige." I said as I was looking at the device.

We decided to meet up with her at the town square, I walked on the field to search for her. When she suddenly appeared behind me, "where's the device?" She asked.

"Where's my sister?"

"This isn't a negotiation. Where's the invention?"

"Where is my sister?" I said with crossed arms.

"Do you really think that I came alone?" She smiled and two vampires appeared behind me.

"Do you really think that I came alone?"

She looked behind her to find Penelope and Jade walking to us.

"For god sakes, call home." She said.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Call home, ask to speak to your sister Lizzie." She rolled her eyes.

I quickly grabbed my phone and called home, "Hello?"

"Lizzie. Are you ok?" I asked

"Yeah yeah, I'm fine. Dad, uh, hit his head. It was an accident. Yeah, but I'm ok." Lizzie replied.

"I'll be home soon, all right?"

"Yeah." She sighed and hung up.

"You were never going to hurt her." I looked at Paige.

"No. I was going to kill her. Don't look any good qualities in me, like you do with every person you meet. I don't have any." She said dramatically.

"But you took a risk with Penelope. How did you know that she was gonna give it to me?"

"Cause she's in love with you." She smiled.

What? I looked at her in confusion.

She held out her hand, I walked up to her and gave her the device.

"Good-bye, Josie. As long as you have those girls on each arm, you're doomed." She said as she walked away.

What did she mean by that?

Jade walked up to me and gave me a hug. Which is exactly what I needed, I looked at Penelope. Was Paige right?

Jade's POV:

After I dropped Josie home, I went home aswell. I walked in the living room to find Penelope pouring herself a drink.

"Would you like one?" She asked.

"Uhm."

"Say it. Whatever it is, purge, get it out."

I sighed, "it's about what Paige said."

"What about it?" She smiled.

"Well, I know you and Josie bonded, and I know that she cares about you, and, uh, I know you care about her."

"Well, this is going in an interesting direction." She smirked.

I chuckled "I'm just concerned about Josie being hurt. She considers you a friend."

"Same here, Josie's a very good friend. Actually, she might qualify as my only friend. Is that a problem?"

"So, at the risk of sounding like a, uh, like a jealous girlfriend."

"Oh, there's no risk. You do." She shrugged.

"There's no, family sharing. do you understand what I'm saying?"

"Sure." She smiled and tried to walk away.

I appeared in front of her way.

"Do you....understand?"

"Hey, whatever you say, sis. I mean. Honestly, we're just friends. And as her friend, I wasn't looking forward to telling her the truth, anyway. So, I'll let you do it."she smiled.

"What? What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Weren't you paying attention in school at all"she joked. "I don't know, maybe that Lizzie as in Josie's twin. Is a siphoner." She shrugged.

"A what?"

"A witch, genius!"

"That's not possible, how would you know?" I asked.

"Well, let's say Lizzie's hands started to glow out of nowhere. Then she flew me in a car." She smiled.

That can't be. does that mean, that Josie is one too?

"But how would she? Alaric is human, that's for sure. Her mom...."

"That's right, you didn't know what her mother was, what if she was some dark, evil witch." She smirked. "Sleep tight. You have some big news to share with your girlfriend tommorow." She smiled and walked away.

I looked at her while she was walking away, "yeah, and tell Josie that, if she needs a friend to talk about anything. I'm here." She smirked and went upstairs.

Lizzie's POV:

Hope called me to meet her at the grill, so I headed there.

We ordered something to eat, she seemed odd.

"Okay, Hope. Spill."

She looked at me nervously.

"I did something bad, Lizzie. And I lied about it."

"To who?" I asked.

"To Josie. I pretended to do something I didn't really do."

"What are you talking about?"

"I couldn't do what she wanted me to do. It wasn't right. But when Josie finds out... she's never going to forgive me."
