Josie's POV:

After school I headed straight home, dad had left already like always, I still didn't get the chance to talk to him about this whole council stuff. I want to know why he is involved with it but right now let's just focus on how I forgot that Miss Mystic Falls is basically tommorow. Hope is mad at me for some reason, Jade... looks better I guess. But how could I forget? I know that Lizzie has been waiting for this moment her whole life and I want her to have it, she deserves it.

Oh god! I need an escort for this. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called Jade.

"Hey"

"Hey, I'm sorry for the short notice but would you be my escort for tommorow?"

"Uh, sure. I'll be happy to escort you anywhere"

"Cheesy."

She laughed "when is the contest anyways?"

"Tommorow. I didn't even know that the contest was coming up."

"It's okay Josie. It'll be great. We'll have fun."

"Ok. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you."

"I love you, too." She said as she hung up.

Penelope's POV:

Okay, Jade is definitely hiding something, sooner or later, I will find out.

I sat on the couch in the living room minding my own business until I heard Jade rush down the stairs and make her way to the basement. I obviously followed. I mean wouldn't you?

She walked in the basement, removing a blanket? Or whatever that was. And look at that isn't that a refrigerator.

She leaned against it looking into it.

"Well, well. She's a liar and a thief." I said leaning against the door. "So... when are you gonna share?"

She looked at me

"Go ahead, help yourself."

"No, no, I'm talking about the fact that you're a closet blood junkie."

"So. I'm drinking blood again. You're the one that shoved it on me. What's your problem?" She shrugged.

I looked at her stepping away from the door and walking inside the room.

"I have it under control." She said

"Under control? You robbed the hospital." I said as I walked closer to her.

"So what's your point?" She asked

"Fine. Whatever, drink up. Just remember we're trying to keep a low profile. Why don't you just walk up to sheriff Mac, ask her to tap a vein." I shrugged

"Have my actions negatively impacted you? Ooh. I can't imagine what that must feel like."

"Yeah, what does Josie think about the new...you?"

"Nothings changed. I'm still the same person." She smiled.

"Clearly" I said annoyingly.

"Josie doesn't need to know anything yet." She shaked her head.

I sighed "you've been off the human stuff for years, Jade. If you're having trouble controlling-"

"I'm not having any trouble." She quickly denied it.

"Who do you think you're talking to? I know what it's like. That Jekyll and Hyde feeling. There's that switch, sometimes it goes off and you snap. Right now is not a good time for me to be worried about you snapping."
