Chapter 25
When we arrived Maree was rushed to the maternity ward and she was shouting very rude things to Dex. We waited patiently outside for three hours before Dex came out announcing his two boys were healthy and alive. We all sighed in relief
“She’s asking for you Soph” I nodded and stood kissing Taylor quickly and walking into the room. Maree was there holding two boys in her arms
“Hey” I said softly. She smiled up at me
“Hey” she replied “Meet Jared Declande and Zander Taylor” she said softly. I smiled
“Hi boys, I’m your aunty Soph” I said.
“Here” she handed me Zander and he was so cute and small.
“I want you and Taylor to be their god parents” she said
“What?”
“If anything happens to me and Dex I want my boys with someone who will love and take good care of them. And that is you and Taylor” she said.
‘Maree thank you I mean it but are you sure?” I asked. She nodded and kissed their heads.
“I know it is a bit late but I signed you and Dex up to be Tessa’s godparents too. It feels good to hold a baby again” I said to her. She grinned
“I think it’s the best thing in the world”
“Maree I need to tell you something”
“Go ahead”
“I’m pregnant”
“Taylor’s or Phillip’s?” she asked looking serious
“Tay’s” I said. She grinned
“Excellent” she replied making me smile.
“Can you take him out and show everyone?” she asked “And tell Dex to come and get Jared” she said. I nodded and gently walked out with Zander. I told Dex to get Jared and he did. Taylor looked at me and smiled
“That look suits you so much” he said grinning and winking making me blush.
“I love you” I said
“I love you so much” he replied kissing my forehead and then taking Zander off of me to give him a cuddle. I loved watching Taylor with a baby and it reminded me so much of Tessa. Suddenly she was next to me and she wrapped her arms around my waist. I wrapped one around her. I wondered how she would take to having a brother or sister.
“Hey sweetie” I said
“Hi mum” she said cuddling into me
“I love you” I said
“I love you too” she replied.
I had moved into Taylor’s house with Tessa since I couldn't keep living with Jaime now that I was married and we were in perfect synch. After visiting the doctor without telling Taylor, my doctor told me that I would still have placenta previa but it wouldn’t be as bad hopefully if I was on the right medication. Taylor was right though- we kept arguing about where things should go but he would always make it better by kissing me lovingly and melting my heart. That night we were laying in bed just cuddling when he kissed my cheek
“I think that we should have another child” he said
“Yeah?” I asked.
“Yeah I want a son now that Dex has two” he said
“Steal one of his” I joked. He threw me a look but smiled
“Are you happy?” he asked
“Ecstatic. I have never been so happy” I said kissing his lips.
“No me neither” he said. I smiled
“Tay?”
“Mm?”
“I have some news” I said
“Really? What is it?” he asked kissing down my neck
“I’m pregnant” I said breathlessly. He froze
“How far?”
“I counted it back to the night of my engagement party” I said when he looked at me
“Just our luck huh”
‘It’s not luck baby it’s the fact that you nor I had protection” I said kissing him again. He rolled his eyes and kissed me with everything he had. I snuggled down and cuddled up to him before closing my eyes
“Love you” he said
“I love you too” I said before drifting off. I was finally happy and all of my guilt was washed away. I was with the right person and he and I were absolutely perfect for each other. We fought like cats and dogs sometimes but we loved each other deeply. And it wasn’t in a best friend way. It was in a husband and wife way.
It had started with a kiss and ended with a question that led to a fantastic life.
