Chapter 12
He didn't care what people thought of us he would stick by me through everything and what did I do? I threw it back in his face and left him out of vital things. I excluded him from Tessa’s life. I went to bed and fell asleep holding tightly onto the memory of how things used to be. The next morning was spent doing some cleaning before getting a phone call from Taylor asking if we could have lunch. Tessa didn't want me to go but I wanted things to go back to how they used to be. I got dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a tank top before grabbing my keys and going to DOME. When I arrived Taylor was already there waiting and he waved me over with a grin. I walked over and sat down.
“Hey” he said smiling
“Hi” I replied grinning
“How are you?” he asked
“Fine and you?” I asked. it was really awkward at the moment and I didn't like it one bit. I needed to have that closure with him
“So um I really think we just need to say what we have been holding back” I said starting off. He grimaced and then clasped his hands together before unclasping them.
“I... how about you start?” he requested. I sighed and nodded
“Fine I just want to say how unbelievably sorry I am. I mean I didn't want to leave but I just I needed some space and I wasn’t getting it. When I came back I felt so guilty and now I want more than anything to get our old friendship back” I said in a breath. He nodded slowly
“Me too. I believe that we can. I mean it wasn’t as if you loved me back so it should be easy for us to be friends again. I don't mean that in a bad way just a way that makes you understand” he said confusing me
“So it is easier for me to be friends again because I wasn’t the one who changed their feelings?” I asked frowning
“I believe so. It would be slightly harder for me if I didn't have Gia but I do and I love her so we can try again” he said. His words jumbled making me laugh
“Why did you really come to the school?” I asked
“Well I had a meeting regarding Tessa apparently. Greg was getting both of us in” he said shrugging. I smiled and nodded before noticing the waitress come over.
“Hi what can I get you both today?” she asked kindly smiling
“I will have the salt and pepper squid” Taylor said smiling. She nodded and turned to me
“And you?”
“Can I have the chicken Panini?” I asked
