Sorry for not uploading sooner but i have been so busy lately. Work and relief sucks sometimes and then i straind my back and sprained my wrist. Not a good start to my holidays :( But here is the next chapter. Enjoy :)
Chapter 16
Sophia’s P.O.V
Six weeks later I was totally smitten with Philip. We went out nearly four times a week and he was so nice and caring. Affectionate too. Tessa had grown attached to her dad too which was a good thing and was quite happy to spend time with him. Tonight was Taylor’s engagement party and Tess and I were getting ready. Since Philip was already going to the party we had one spare plus one thing. I managed to get Dex and Maree to be plus ones which was good so at least I wouldn't be alone there looking at the happy couple. I dressed in a blue strapless cocktail dress with matching heels and straightened my hair. Tessa was dressed in a beautiful black, strapless cocktail dress with splits in it and in those splits were different coloured shiny materials that ranged from pink to blue. She matched it with a pair of peep toe black heels. Her hair had the top layer up and the rest straightened. She looked beautiful. I was so proud. We all left together and rocked up at the same time as Dex and Maree. We had it planned that Maree would be Jaime’s ‘date’ and Dex would be mine.
“You look beautiful” Dex said to me grinning. I grinned back
“You too” I said. Maree sent me a wink and I could see she was slightly showing. We walked in and found our seats which were towards the left side. We all sat down and then Taylor walked over. Tessa hugged him and he complemented her dress before glancing at Dex and Maree. His eyes fell on me and I stood to give him a hug
“You look amazing Soph” he whispered in my ear. I smiled and looked for Philip.
“Thanks Tay” I whispered “Have you seen Philip?” I asked
“Yeah he was at the bar when I saw him” Tay seemed reluctant to tell me and I didn't know why so I sent my family and smile and went to find him. He had just received his drink when he saw me
“Wow beautiful you look... incredible” he said grasping my hand and giving me a kiss. I felt my butterflies again and then pulled away
“You look handsome yourself” I said grinning
“hello Sophia darling” Dana said emerging from the crowd. I swallowed nervously again and embraced her
“Is your beautiful daughter here?” she asked
“Yes Tessa is with Taylor and her uncle” I said smiling.
“Can we meet her? I mean she is our granddaughter of sorts” Dana was really pushing this and I couldn't say no.
“I will go and get her” I said turning and walking back to the table
“Tessa sweetie your grandparents want to meet you” I whispered.
“I’ve met my grandparents”
“No your dad’s future parents in law” I said feeling my face heat up
“Dad has to come too” she urged grabbing on to Taylor who followed on the other side
“Dana was really pushy” I told Taylor
“I was afraid of that” he said sending me the same look of panic. Dana took one look at Tessa and grinned
‘Oh my god she is lovely. Hello darling you can call me grandma” she said pinching Tessa’s cheeks
“Erm sorry but I already call Grandma Suzie that” she said politely
“Oh well nana will do” Dana had lost some of her smile
