                Mom came out with snacks and I noticed her stomach was quite large. "Can I have a moment alone with Aaron and Shannon, please," Mom had said. They all got up and went inside the house except for Dottie who scooted closer to me. She got her cast off before the talent show. Mom looked at Dottie and started to say something to her but I guess she remembered how stubborn Dottie can be. "Aaron, Shannon," Mom said after a deep breath, "I'm pregnant, and it's a girl." My sadness turned into joy and I wagged my tail. I then realized how long it took a werewolf pup to develop. I then sniffed Mom's stomach, and she smelled like she was in the third trimester. It didn't make sense, she didn't have a baby bump the night of the talent show, how had she gotten so big in that time frame? Mom yelped and said, "My water broke! The baby is coming!" "Aaron!" I said franticly, "Call dad and tell him to come home right now!" "Way ahead of you," He replied. "THERE IS NO TIME!!!" Mom had screamed. "Aaron," I said while taking Mom to her car, "Drive!" He got in the car and drove as fast as he could to the hospital...

                 It was an hour before we were able to go see the baby, I was pacing back and forth in the waiting room, Aaron was texting Blue, and Dad was already back there. Dad came out with what looked like a two-year-old in his arms, followed by Mom. "Where's the baby?" I asked. "Shannon," Mom said, "this is your new sister, Layla." "How did she grow that fast?" Aaron asked. "The doctor says that Layla has a birth defect to where her body grows and ages faster than any other organism. What may take us a year to age, it will only take her a day," Dad said. "How long will she have?" I asked absently. "We don't know, but her brain waves are functioning way better than a normal infant," Mom said. A doctor walked into the waiting room with a clipboard and a sheet of paper and said, "Layla is free to go home."

                    Before we even got home, Layla grew another foot which was worrying all of us. "Mommy?" Layla asked (which surprised all of us), "I'm hungy." "Okay, Sweety, we'll stop to get you something to eat," Mom said in a motherly tone. We pulled up to a steak house and got her a large rare t bone steak, which she demolished in under 5 minutes. "Thank chu, Mommy," Layla said happily wagging her tail. "Wow!" Aaron and I both said at the same time. When we pulled up into the driveway, Dottie and Blue were waiting on the front steps. Blue instantly shot up and ran to Aaron and asked, "Where's the baby?" He pointed with his tail to show Layla in her car seat (which she already has outgrown). "Bubby?" Layla asked curiously, "who is te blu girl?" "Layla," Aaron said, "This is Blue, and over on the steps is Dottie. They are good friends of ours." "Ok," she said happily. When we went into the house, Ein was playing a game on his phone, Blaze and his father were repairing the damage from the last night, Khloe was making herself a soft pallet for her to lay on, and Charlie was nowhere to be found. "Blue, where's Charlie?" I asked. "Oh," she said, "He went to go get some things from our cave." "Wait, You live in a cave, and you're just now telling me?!" "Yeah," Blue said, "It's not like we had money to buy a house. The only things we have were the things that we took from the lab." I didn't want to continue the conversation. Layla was tugging on my hoodie sleeve and when I looked down at her she said with her arms up, "Up up!" "Okay," I replied happily picking her up. She was heavier than she looked, and she was really skinny. "Thank chu, sissy!" She said with joy. There was a knock on the door and a familiar scent filled my nostrils. Aaron opened the door and Kawaii~Chan came through the door shouting, "Where is she?!?" Then she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Layla on my shoulders. She screeched so loud and so high pitched that it left all of our ears ringing and it broke the replacement window that Blaze and his father had just installed. When she stopped Layla asked, "Sissy, why she so loud?" "Layla," I said with my ears still ringing, "this is Kawaii~Chan." I put Layla down on the floor so she could sniff the pink meif'wa. She took one sniff and made a disgusted face. "I don't think she likes your perfume," I said smiling. "Okay," Mom came from her room, "If you are not working on the house, get out! Dottie since your parents are out of town, you can stay here, but the rest of you, out!" All of our friends, except Dottie and Blaze, left. "TV, turn on," Layla said then yelled, "TV TURN ON!!!" She paused then said, "TV? Are chu mad at me?" I was watching while making her a pb&j sandwich until she started to cry. I bolted over to her and asked, "Layla, what's wrong?" She sniffled and said, "TV mad at me." "Layla," I said, "the TV isn't mad at you." "It not?" She asked, "Why it not on?" "You have to use the remote," I said as I grabbed the remote then asked, "What do you want to watch?" "Cartoons!" She said excitedly. I turned the channel to Tom and Jerry (which is still my favorite cartoon) then walked back to the kitchen to finish making her sandwich. When I brought it to her, it took her 3 seconds to eat it. "Whoa," I said amazed, "Slow down, no one is going to take it from you." "Sorwe," She replied with tears in her eyes. "Hey," I said while scooping her up, "I'm not mad at you." "Chu not?" She asked. I shook my head. "Let me tell you a secret," I said, "I used to be really sad before you came along. You don't have to be sad, Layla. As long as you are happy, you will make me happy." "Okay, Sissy!" She said wagging her tail. She yawned so I sat down in the recliner with her and we both fell asleep...
