                  Irene infused Layla's POV:

             I got up from where Shannon laid me down and looked around the room and only KC, Zane, Riley, and Lucinda were in the room. I sat up and winced because of the pain. "Guys!" Zane yelled, "Layla is awake!" "How?" Lucinda asked. "It is because of Irene," I answered, "We are one now. I have to go see Shannon." "You can't," Lucinda said, "She is in a complex that is heavily guarded." "That doesn't matter," I replied, "I have to go there and I don't have much time." "Ok," She said finally...

          When we got through all of the guards and started to look for Shannon, she was nowhere to be found. I did smell traces of her scent and they led to a truck. I got into the back of the truck and her scent was strong in here so I called Irene to reconstruct what had happened. We found out where she went then we followed. The trail led to a big arena but when we tried to get through the door, Garroth and Katlin attacked us and it seemed like they were under control by Michael. "Lucinda!" I called, "Try to reach through to her! I'll go find the others!" She nodded and I ran through the door. "Layla!?!" Aaron yelled, "How?" "Irene saved me," I replied, "Now we are one. Where is Shannon?" "Michael sent her to the void," He replied. I focused my energy to create a doorway to the void and when it opened, I saw Shannon lying on the ground. I rushed over to drag her out of the void and I saw that she had purplish-black bruises all over her body. "Shannon!" I said frantically, "Please wake up!" "Layla?" She said weakly, "You're alive?" "Yes," I replied, "I need your help. We have to fuse to defeat Michael." "Ok," She said, "But Michael is too powerful. We need more people." Just then, Irene separated from me then called Dottie, and Blue to help. "Fusing is a painful process," She warned, "But we have to do it to stop Michael." All of us nodded and Irene started the fusion process...
