Riley's Return

                 It was a few hours before I had woken up to a strange but familiar scent in the house. I looked down to see that Layla was still asleep so I carefully got up then laid her down in the chair. Then I put a blanket over her and transformed into my wolf pup form and tracked the smell to my room. I changed back and opened my bedroom door to see a puppy that looked a lot like Riley on my bed. It didn't move from there when it saw me. Then I had noticed a note on my bed. I picked it up and it read:            

               'To Shannon,

I heard what happen to Riley so I found the right spell to bring her back but she won't be fully grown though. She will still know everyone and know all her tricks as well. Also, I gave her accelerated healing so she will be able to protect your family for a lot longer. I did this because you helped me get through a lot, and I'm glad to have you as a friend.

           I cried with joy when I read this and then I scooped Riley in my arms and went back downstairs. "Sissy!" Layla called. "I'm coming, Layla!" I replied. The moment Layla saw the puppy that I was holding, she ran to me. "IT SO CUTE!!!" She screamed. Mom and dad both came downstairs to see what was going on. "Shannon!" Dad yelled when he saw the pup, "No, you can't have that!" Rage started to bubble inside me and my Ultima eyes were showing. Then I gave him the note. After he had read it he nodded his head and said, "You can keep her, on one condition," He said, "You will have to learn to control your eyes." "How?" I had asked. "I will teach you," He said, "Class will start tomorrow." "Okay," I said wagging my tail. "Training starts tomorrow," Dad said, "11 am sharp. Don't be late." "I won't," I said happily. "Are you sure that's Riley?" Mom asked. Dad had handed her the note. She read it and said, "Okay." I put Riley down so Layla could pet her. "Layla," I said, "Let her sniff you first." "Ok," She said while letting Riley sniff her hand. Riley then licked her hand showing that she trusts Layla, and followed her back to the chair that she was laying on and snuggled with her. I was so happy that she was back with us that I started to cry with joy. "Sissy," Layla said sympathetically, "Why chu crying?" I walked over to her and hugged both her and Riley and cried harder. "Sissy," Layla said, "It ok, why chu crying?" She took a sniff and said, "Sissy, chu smell different." As soon as she said that, I felt pain where my (just take in context because I'm not explaining this). Then I realized what was happening to me. 'Crap! This soon? I'm not even 18 yet!' I thought. I was In heat which is partially dangerous for werewolves because even the savage ones will smell me and instinct will kick in. It doesn't affect family members though. We had blast shields installed on the windows, just in case a savage decides to come along.
