Layla's Heartbreak

               A few months later, I was getting bullied each day by the people that I thought were my friends. They have been saying mean things about me and Shannon, even Bubby has been doing it. One day, Dottie, Blaze, and I were having lunch and Daniel walked up to me and pulled me aside. He had the same color eyes as Bubby instead of his cute sky blue eyes. "Layla," He said, "I'm breaking up with you." Those words pierced my heart and my hair and eyes starter to turn a dark grey. "Are chu joking?" I said in disbelief. "No," He replied, "I'm not. I hate you!" I changed into wolf form (which is the size of a full-grown coyote) and ran out of the lunchroom. I heard Dottie and Blaze follow and my pelt changed to a dark grey color as I ran. I slowed down when I got home and I couldn't open the door or go through the doggie door because of how sad I was. I whimpered and scratched at the door. Dottie and Blaze had caught up to me in their wolf forms and approached me in their normal forms. "Wow," Dottie said out of breath, "You are fast for a munchkin. What happened, Layla? Why did you leave school?" I changed back to normal then curled into a ball and cried. Dottie crouched down and said, "I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong. Please tell me." I reached my hand out and pressed it against her cheek and thought, Daniel broke up with me and he hates me! "Why that little!" Dottie said, "I will rip him apart!" "Nu!" I said while my hair and eyes started turning pitch black then I felt no emotion, "Iz feelz noting." Dottie clasped her hands over her mouth in shock. Mommy heard us and walked out the door and asked, "Dottie? Blaze? Why are you not at school? Who is this?" "Hi Mommy," I said with no emotion, "It me, Layla." "What's wrong?" She asked, "Why is your hair and eyes black?" "Iz can't feelz my emos," I said, "Iz paralyzed. Where are my feelings? Iz no longer feelz tings. Iz know Iz should. Where iz te real me? Iz lost and it kills me inside." Mommy did the same thing Dottie did. "Dottie," She said finally, "What happened?" "Daniel broke up wif me," I said blankly, "He had gween eyes instead of blu." "Come inside," Mommy said worried, "I will call the school to say that Layla complained of not feeling well. I will also call your parents to say that you two are with me." Dottie and Blaze both nodded but I said, "Iz can't feelz anyting." Riley was trying to make me feel better but I don't have emotions. "Iz wantz to go see Shannon," I said not looking up from Riley. "Okay, Sweety," Mommy said, "Give me a few moments to take these calls." "Okayz," I replied.

              When we got there, it was quiet in the lobby. There was a different guard as well and he asked who we were here for and mommy said my sister's name and her room number. "Ok," He said getting stickers that had that information on it and opened the door for us.

          Shannon's POV:

              I heard footsteps walking to my room and I heard a very slow heartbeat. "Hello, Sweety!" My mom said. I could feel my tail wagging at the sound of my mother's voice. "Mrs. Lycan," Blaze said, "Can I talk to her? In private please?" "Okay," She replied. I heard their footsteps leave the room and I felt Blaze's warm hand grab my hand. So, I thought, What did you want to talk about? "Ein's alpha now, and he's controlling people that don't follow him with forever potions," He said, "He has Charlie, Khloe, Daniel, Ryland, Garroth, Aaron, Diana, and a few others. He made Daniel break up with Layla because Ein wants you, your friends, and family to suffer. I tried to fight him, but I wasn't strong enough. I'm sorry." DANIEL BROKE UP WITH LAYLA?!?! I yelled, When I get out of this I will personally make Ein pay. He not going to get any second chances. Did he try to put a forever potion on Blue? "Yes," He replied, "They take a while for it to kick in depending on how strong the person's mind is. Blue is unaffected by it. But Layla lost her emotions." Bring her to me, I said. "How do you know that I not affected?" Blaze said instead of getting up. You wouldn't ask that question if you were, I said, Also, I can feel your soul. You did some bad things or something bad happened to you, but we will talk about that later. He got up and got Layla and when she touched my hand, I felt a black abyss where her soul was supposed to be. I also felt that she was slitting her wrist. "Hello, Shannon," She said blankly. I know what happened to you, I said, Please stop cutting. "Why?" She replied, "Iz don't feelz it, and Iz like bleeding." No! I said angrily, Look, you can't do that! It's not good! I felt anger in her when I said that and she let go of my hand. "Chu were not here to halp!" She said, "I hate dis, I wants to feelz nomal, but Iz can't! Iz miss chu being at house, Iz miss our games, Iz miss chur voice, Iz miss chur laugh, Iz miss everyting bout chu!" I heard her crying and everyone coming back into the room. Then I felt Layla's hand again he soul was partially returned. Layla, I said, I miss you too. The doctor said that my accelerated healing will kick in tomorrow and in a week or two, I will be able to go home. "Really?" She asked full of hope. I promise, I said, But until then, you can take Wolfie home and sleep with him if you want. "Thank chu, Sissy!" She said happily.
