         When I got back home, my wings and halo were gone and I was standing outside of my house. I then heard a scream that sounded like Layla so I knocked the front door of the hinges then ran up to where I heard the scream. What I found was my family crowded around Layla. "Layla! What's wrong?!" I asked worriedly. My brother was the first to react to my voice and he rushed over and hugged me. "How?" He said while crying, "How are you here?" "Irene," I said when he let go, "What's wrong with Layla?!?" "Sissy?" She asked in disbelief, "Is dat chu?" "Yes," I said picking her up, "What's wrong?" "My eyes," She said revealing them, "Tey like yours." Her eyes were ultima eyes, but they were a blood-red with hearts that had slits in them. "Shannon?" My mom and Dad said at the same time. Just then, I heard helicopters closing in on the house. "We have to move!" Mom shouted, "The guardian force is here!" "What happened when I was gone?" I asked. "You remember when you dragged Dad out of that bar?" Aaron said while packing his things. "Yeah," I said confused, "Why?" "Shannon," Dad said, "You turned someone. This caused the Guardian force to hunt werewolves, not only that, but all of us." I looked at him with horror then said, "I'm sorry." Right then, the Guardian force busted through the door and was now moving up the stairs. Riley was the first to react (now almost a full-grown dog). She attacked the nearest guard and was biting through his armor. "Kids!" Mom said, "Your father and I will distract them! You have to leave now!" "But wh-" I said before I got cut off. "Just go!" She said urgently, "Riley will follow you." "Fine," I said while getting everything we need, "Layla, we have to go wolf. You need to go fast, we will be right behind you. Run for the forest!!" "Ok, Sissy!" She replied while turning into her wolf form. She bolted right past the guards and Riley followed. Aaron and I had a little more trouble getting past the guards and we both got shot at. Mom and dad helped by diverting their attention to them then we booked it to where Layla was. There was a chopper overhead of us with a sniper so we had to zig-zag. When we finally caught up with Layla and Riley, they were being captured by a group of soldiers. I let out a loud growl then jumped at the nearest one while Aaron went after the two that had Layla and Riley. I tried turning some of the guards but they had an eye shield that prevents them from being turned. But, if I bite them, that's a different story. Over the guns firing, I heard a howl and a raptor bark, then out of nowhere, the pack rushed the guards. I turned into my normal form and that's when I heard the voice that I missed for so long. "Shannon!?!" Dottie exclaimed while jumping on me, "Oh my Irene!" "I missed you too?" I said. Dottie got up and that was when I noticed that Blaze was gone. Those two were nearly inseparable. "Where's Blaze?" I asked. "He was captured," Dottie replied with her ears drooping, "Along with Garroth, Daniel and Rylan." "Where's Susie?" I asked, "Did she get captured?" "No," Dottie replied, "She helped us escape when the GF attacked the school, but we don't know where she is now." "We have to find her," One of the younger wolves called out. "We don't know what state of mind she's in right now," Dottie said, "So we can't look for her. Not with the choppers overhead." "You're the new alpha," I said to Dottie. "Yeah," She replied, "but it's a lot of work, and since you're back, I give you the position of alpha." "Wow," I said shocked, "Not how I thought my first day back would be. Charlie!" "Yes, Shannon!" He said while wagging his tail. "You will be the alpha male," I said, "I will look for Susie so Charlie and Aaron will be in charge." All the wolves agreed then I went searching for Susie...
