                   Layla's POV:

"Sissy?!?" I said while crying, "Please don't leave me!" I nudged her but her body was cold. "Nu," I whispered. Susie tried her 'healing touch' but it failed. Susie started to cry and the entire pack started to mourn. Dottie was crying hysterically and walked over to Blaze and he started to cry as well. "No!" Dad yelled while running into the small clearing then picked up Sissy and started to cry, "No, my sweet baby girl, I'm so sorry!" He broke down and cried with Sissy's limp body in his arms. It started to rain and we carried Shannon's body out of the clearing and back home. We dug a grave in the back yard and we had a funeral for her. "Shannon was a very good friend to everyone," Bubby said wiping tears from his eyes, "She was a good sister to both Layla and me. She was very protective and if one of us were sad, she would try to make us happy." He paused then said while covering his eyes, "I'm sorry." He walked back to his chair and buried his face in his hands and cried. Dottie wanted to go up but she couldn't because she was crying so hard. Susie walked up and put her hand on Shannon's coffin. "Shannon was the first friend that I ever had," Susie said, "Before I met her, all the other wolves picked on me because I didn't have the physical traits of a werewolf. After a school day, I would come home to a father that beat and raped me, a mother that is never home, and the only person that was nice to me in that house was my brother. My dad was a werewolf and my mother was a human. I had to go through years of torment and abuse without any friends to hang out with until Shannon came along. She was my light to the darkness to my life, she saved my mind and I wish I was there to save her!" Susie started to cry harder and Garroth rushed to her and held her close. Susie cried on his shoulder and Garroth carried her to his seat. Charlie walked next to Shannon's coffin. His scales grew paler as he put his hand on the coffin. He turned to the pedestal then started to speak. "Shannon," He said, "She was a wonderful person, I just didn't see that until now. I should have treated her better. Shannon, I am sorry for everything that I did to you, I love you." He walked back to his seat and cried. Blaze was next. "I didn't know Shannon, as well as her family, did," He said trying to fight the tears, "But, she was the nicest person I have met and she could go off on anyone if they harmed her friends. Part of me now realizes that I was scared of what she could do, but the other part of me said 'Hey, she's here for a reason.'" He looked down then continued, "I wish I could have told her my past but I was afraid to. This was before she encouraged Dottie to go out with me, and I am thankful to have Shannon as a friend. We will all miss her." He looked up to the sky then said, "Irene, I know I did some bad things in the past, but can you give me this one favor? Please look after Shannon and everyone I have lost." He went back to Dottie and they formed a tight ball together and they cried. I howled in tribute to Sissy and all the other werewolves did the same. After the funeral, Daniel walked up to me and apologized for what he did. "Iz forgives chu," I said hugging him.

Daniel's POV (This is very short):

'             Take care of Layla, please' I heard Alpha's voice in my head. Don't worry, Alpha! I thought back, I won't leave her again. 'Thank you, Daniel,' She replied and her voice disappeared.
