Life as an Ultima Werewolf

The Challenge for Alpha

                   The next day during gym class, the teacher called all of us to welcome a new student. "Ok, class," He said, "this is Gracy, a galaxy werewolf.'' Everyone stopped to admire how beautiful she is. "What makes her so special?" Ein said. I growled at him and he backed off. Midway through gym, we were doing a tracking exercise. The raptors were there. Dottie and I were in a clearing in the woods when we ran into Ein. "I challenge you for the position for alpha!" Ein exclaimed loud enough for everyone in the proximity to come running. They all gathered in a circle around Ein and me. Blue sprinted in the circle and yelled with a snarl, "Shannon, say the word and I'll drop him!" "I have this," I replied. He charged me but I dodged then slashed his face with my claws. I have to admit there was something off about him. He got back up laughing then said with an evil grin, "You know, I was just waiting for Aaron to come." He then shot a bolt of green energy at my brother which hit him in the heart. He dropped instantly, I was frozen in place until Ein started to turn to me then shot a bolt at me. I dogged but it grazed my left shoulder. I screamed in pain. Then the rage set in. My body morphed into my untamed wolf form. I then charged him and slashed his chest then bit his arms. He then changed into his wolf form. I snarled then attacked him. He grappled with me for a while then I noticed how badly injured Aaron was. I looked over to see Dottie trying to stop the bleeding. I then listened for his heartbeat, but I couldn't hear it. I let out a mournful howl. Blue let out a roar then sprinted at Ein. She latched on to him then started biting and clawing out chunks of fur out of his side. Ein bit down on her tail then slung her into a tree. She got back up then barked for her siblings to help. By the time they got there, Ein had me pinned and he was about to go for the kill. Out of nowhere, the four raptors jumped on Ein and started clawing into him. I took this chance to check on Aaron and Dottie. Dottie's hands, tail, and gym uniform were covered in blood. Tears formed in my eyes as Dottie said crying, "I'm sorry, he's gone." I then howled. Rage consumed me, I could feel my sanity breaking. I was morphing into a bipedal werewolf form but stopped when Lucinda appeared throwing a bright green potion which made me feel weird. It burned me but it gave me my own mind back. I turned to see that Blue was on her side with a deep gash running down her back, dead still, Delta with blood all over her with a nasty gash on her neck blood bubbling from it. Echo was still on Ein while Charlie was limping away. Charlie had several cuts on his face, slashes and bite marks on his tail, and a very badly bruised leg, which I think it was broken. There was a voice in my head, it said 'Kill them' I shook it off then charged Ein. I bit at his neck then slashed at his face....

             Meanwhile, in the same lab where the raptors were made, a much deadlier weapon is about to escape. "Come on, we have to get out of here, I smell blood," the female said. "Shut up," the male said with a growl, "I'm working on it!"...

                          Back with the fight...

                I was panting and bleeding, Ein was too. I was worried about Aaron, Blue, and Charlie. Dottie joined the fight in her wolf form too, but Ein bit her hind leg so hard that I heard a sickening crack and a yelp of pain. The only raptor able to fight was Echo, she pounced on Ein, but Ein rolled out of the way then hit Echo with a devastating blow. She went flying across the clearing and hit a tree. One of the branches impaled her. Her scales then turned pale and her eyes turned grey. Dottie rushed Ein, but he dogged and hit her. I charged him and managed to tackle him, which sent both of us rolling into a tree. Ein got up and pinned me to the ground, he growled then moved his mouth to my throat. We both heard a bark, then a roar. Out of nowhere, a blue blur ran into Ein with so much force that it winded both me and Ein. It was Blue, I think. I recognized the blue streak, but there was a velociraptor in front of me. She was clawing and biting at Ein's stomach and throat, but Ein's throat has a lot more fur there than on the rest of the body. Blue was still bleeding from her side, but she didn't seem to care. Dottie was lying down licking her wounds when a group of very pale people ran into the fight, Zane was in that group as well. He had two puncture marks on his neck, which alarmed me. Ein threw Blue off of himself and turned to the group of vamps. He managed to kill five of them by breaking off their limbs which sounded like a flower pot breaking. Zane was too fast for him and managed to break Ein's front leg which healed almost instantly. One of the vamps charged at Dottie, but before I could get to her to help her, a ball of fire blasted into it. I turned to see Aaron's hand was smoking. He had Ultima eyes showing. He charged at Ein while sending blasts of fire at him. Ein was on fire which made him change back to regular form. "YOU KILLED ME!?!," Aaron yelled. Ein looked shocked to see him alive. "How!?!" Ein said in disbelief, "I killed you! That doesn't matter, I'll just kill you again, then your friends." He charged at Aaron but a blur of black barreled into him. Ein was winded when he got back up. The creature that attacked him vanished, only to reappear on a branch a few feet above him. It was male, he kind of looked like Blue, but his scales were black and he had a golden yellow streak that didn't quite reach his eyes as Blue's did. He had long arms ending in serrated claws. He also had raptor sickle claws. Ein recovered and shot a bolt at him, the creature dogged then pounced. He clawed Ein's chest then backed off. He roared then barked for someone. Three seconds later, a female materialized from the vegetation. She had a vibrant purple streak and purplish-black scales. "What in Irene?!?" Dottie yelled. The two creatures roared at Ein then disappeared. Ein was down, bleeding very badly, his hair and fur on his tail were matted with blood. Dottie only had a broken leg and a few scratches on her side. I calmed down enough to change back to normal, then I ran full speed over to Blue which was crying. In the fight, she lost two of her siblings, Echo and Delta. "Blue," I said sympathetically, "Are you going to be o-" before I could finish, Blue hugged me and cried into my shoulder. Charlie was performing CPR on Delta, Lucinda was looking in her spellbook to find a spell to bring her back. Echo was too far gone to do anything to help her. The ambulance arrived along with the police. The police took Ein away while the paramedics cared for the injured, (even me). Dottie was refusing to go with them so I said, "Dottie, you have to go." "No!" She said defiantly, "I'm not going!" "If you don't go, then you will be in a lot of pain and it won't go away," I said firmly. "Fine," Dottie said then asked if I can go with her. I said yes, with Blue still attached to me. "Aaron," I yelled, "Can you comfort Blue while I'm gone?" "Yes, of course, I will," Aaron replied...
