The Last Vampire [DXD]

Volume 3 - Chapter 2

"Ahhh!" Slamming a Demon into a wall, Astral angrily demands the whereabouts of Tazgos. The Demon chuckled and kicked Astral in the head before cutting him with a box-cutter he found on the ground.

Astral thrusted his hand through the Demon's chest and ripped it out. The small gash that was on his cheek healed instantly as he tossed the heart of the Demon into the trash can.

"This is stupid. I'll never find him at this point." Astral scoffed.

"Oh but you did find me. And I think I will kill you. Something your father should have done months ago." He said from behind Astral. It could only be one person.

Tazgos.

"You fucking bitch. You hurt my best friend. I will slaughter you." He said as he rushed Tazgos. He threw a punch that Tazgos swiftly dodged and returned. The hook of Tazgos sent Astral flying backwards into a building.

He stood up shakily and pulled a glass shard from out of his back then dashed forward, aiming his fists at Tazgos's gut. Dodging, Tazgos grabbed a crowbar from off the street and wacked Astral's head with it.

His flesh tore for a few seconds before healing back but Astral still grunted in pain. His eyes flickered red, his fangs grew larger and his power expanded.

Faster than before, he shot forward at Tazgos swinging wildly. A few punches connected but Tazgos was still mostly unaffected. He impaled Astral with the crowbar before kicking him in the chest.

Hissing at Tazgos, Astral knew he was unmatched with his current level of power. Tazgos still had Lucius's Dagger and would be able to siphon all his power if he wanted to.

He's playing around with me. I can't even do anything about it either. Damn it.

"Tazgos." Rias Gremory said with hatred lace in her voice. Appearing from seemingly nowhere, she and her peerage surrounded Tazgos.

He smirked and dashed forward, slamming his fist into Issei's stomach. He blew Issei back away immediately and then targeted Koneko.

He sent several fierce punches towards her repeatedly.

"Koneko!" Issei exclaimed as he watched one of his best friends get pummeled.

[Welsh Dragon: Balance Breaker] Ddraig called out as Issei's draconic suit consumed his normal body.

He dashed forward and punched at Tazgos, and boosted the power of the punch to hurt him more. Only, it barely even scratched Tazgos.

Tazgos grabbed Issei and swung him into a brick wall, before punching him in the jaw which shattered his helmet.

"You are nothing compared to my power. The only one who could stand a chance against me is Astral Blackwell but look at him." Tazgos said as he pointed at Astral, who was having a hard pulling the crowbar from his heart.

"I have better things to do than fight with you all. Bye bye!" Tazgos said, and in a blink of a eye, he was gone.

Issei shakily returned to his feet and immediately went to check on Koneko.

Astral, however, decided to leave as well. Feeling ashamed that he couldn't take on Tazgos by himself.

"Brother, where have you been?" Saeddu asked as she was sitting down and reading a book and sipping a glass a wine.

"Well I've been trying to find and kill Tazgos but I'm not strong enough. Where's Celeste?"

"I'm right here. Are you okay?" She asked as she walked over to him and gave him a hug. He hesitantly hugged back and saw that most of her wounds had been healed completely.

"You can thank me for her recovery by the way. After you left the effects of your blood started to fail so I used my magic to help her." Kuroka said with a smirk, feeling a small hint of jealousy watching the two hug.

Astral smiled and walked over to Kuroka to kiss her. "I need your help with something, Kuroka. We need to find that damn totem and destroy it now. We don't know how long we have with that thing before it resurrects Dracula."

"No no no." Atha stated, walking from the kitchen with a soda in her hand. "You have been working hard nonstop with leading a nation of Vampires to being a father. You deserve some time off, Astral. Me and everyone else will destroy the totem. Take your girlfriends on a date."

"Actually he only has one girlfriend and that's me-"

"Kuroka, I don't care. I really don't care. Just go on a date with my brother."

A/N: back from the hiatus of this story, I know this chapter was boring but the rest of the chapters should be wayyy more entertaining.
