On the last day before Christmas holidays, for which I would be spending at Hogwarts with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the delicious evening feast that followed a Hogsmeade trip that surprising included Harry this time, was ruined by the constant eyesore named Pansy Parkinson.

"Does she think she'll die if she lets go of Malfoy for half a millisecond" I said to Harry, sounding amused though her proud display of affection was getting on my nerves.
"Don't think we're ever gonna find out" Harry joked, and I laughed.
"Dracie, baby, are you even listening to me?!"

No, I was not, in fact, listening to Parkinson and her failed attempts at flirting. My attention was occupied on a certain feisty Gryffindor, and my fists clenched as I saw her laugh at a no doubt stupid joke Potter had just told.

"Would you sod off, Parkinson, you're being even more of a brat than normal" I snapped, feeling my anger rising as I continued to glare at (y/n) talking with stupid saint potter and the Mudblood and weasel.

I heard Parkinson whimper at my insult, but I barely took notice until she followed my gaze over to the gryffindor table.

"Who are you staring at?" She demanded, and I quickly tore my gaze away from (y/n)
"Anyone but you" I scoffed, trying to hide what I had really been doing in an effort to protect my reputation
"Oh come on, drakey-poo, don't be so uptight" she pleaded, her arm reattaching itself to mine as she leaned into me and I internally vomited.
"You're one to talk about getting a room, Parkinson" I looked up at the sound of (y/n)'s voice as she taunted, " it's like you're trying your absolute best to come up with the most uncomfortable nicknames to scream at Malfoy"
"Jealous, Lestrange?" Parkinson snarled, and, much to my dismay, tightened her grip on my arm
"Of you? Never" (y/n) smirked, "I'm just speaking for everyone when I say we're all tired of you calling him those ridiculously embarrassing nicknames. I mean you might as well call him daddy and fuck him right here on the dining table"
A collective laughter erupted from students who were near enough to here the exchange, and I pressed my lips together in an effort to suppress my own grin. (Y/n) smirked again before turning back to face her friends, but not before catching my eyes, and noticing the small smile on my lips.

I had decided to leave the feast a few minutes early, heading to the owlery to receive the firebolt I had ordered for Harry for Christmas. I made up a lie about needing to finish up some homework, knowing if I received the package during mail delivery in the great hall, it would ruin the surprise, so,I had arranged the broom to be delivered to the owlery instead. The chilling December wind left a bright rosy tint to my cheeks as I wrapped my scarf tighter to keep myself warm. When I arrived, I saw a long parcel wrapped in brown paper. Hearing faint footsteps, I whipped around as I got a sudden sense of deja vu

"You seem to have a habit of following me, Malfoy" I said
He rolled his eyes, walking over to inspect my packages, his fingers tracing the brown wrapping paper before I smacked it away.
"Do you actually have anything you need to say, Malfoy, or did you follow me just to be a pest?" I huffed, gathering the firebolt in my hands
"Just wanted to say goodbye before I leave for the holidays" he replied, his gaze fixed upon the black lake shimmering in the moonlight.
"I'm sure your presence at Hogwarts will be greatly missed" I said sarcastically, using my wand to light a path back down to the school grounds, which had grown steadily darker as time passed. Malfoy walked silently next to me, and just as I was about to tell him to shove off, he said with a smirk

"Didn't know you had a thing for calling guys daddy"
I spun around to face him, and raised my hand to slap his shoulder , but he stopped me, gripping my wrist tightly and pulling me closer to him. He leaned into my ear and whispered, his hot breath warming my neck in the freezing cold hallway,

"I don't think you want to do that, (y/n)"
"What are you gonna do, tell your father?" I laughed, though it came out more nervous than I had intended, "or maybe a teacher, get me detention? Always hiding behind the adults, Malfoy,it's pathetic really, I mean you've never-"

He stopped me again, his hand letting go of my wrist and snaking it's way around my neck, his rings pressing down against my skin. Then, without warning, he closed his eyes and his lips met mine, kissing me gently, though there was a lingering tone of desire laced throughout. Shocked, I pulled away slightly, shaking my head and saying

"What are you doing?"
"Calling in that favour you owe me"

He kissed me again, this time with more ferocity, and standing there in the middle of the deserted hallway at an ungodly time of night, my forgotten parcels dropped hastily at our feet, our figures dimly illuminated by the stars and dying out fires from hanging torches, I did something I never believed I would ever allow myself to do.

I kissed him back
