I woke up in bed.
"Lucky he caught her"
"I thought she was done for"
"But she didn't even break a bone"
I definitely did not want to have to return to the hospital so soon.
"(Y/n)!" Fred said, who, like everyone else gathered around the hospital bed, was a shade of white impressive enough to rival Malfoy's.
"What happened" I asked, sitting up to better look at the gryffindor team, except for Harry, who was laying unconscious in the bed next to mine, as well as Ron and Hermione.
"You fell off," said Fred. "Must've been — what — fifty feet?"
" We thought you'd died," said Alicia, who was shaking, "probably would've if it wasn't for Harry- caught you just before you hit the ground and passed out next to you."
Hermione made a small, squeaky noise. Her eyes were extremely red
"No no I mean the game, what happened with the match?" I asked, a feeling of dread forming in the pit of my stomach. When no one answered, I said hesitantly, "Please don't tell me we lost"
They looked at each other before nodding lightly. My heart sank. I had lost my first quidditch game, as well as my bet with Malfoy.
"It's not over yet" Fred said, "we lost by a hundred points right? So if Hufflepuff loses to Ravenclaw and we beat Ravenclaw and Slytherin..."
"Hufflepuff will have to lose by two hundred points" I huffed, though I appreciated his effort in trying to cheer me up.
"There's no way they're beating Ravenclaw, they're too good" George argued, "don't beat yourself up over it, (y/n), you're still the best damn chaser we've ever had, we would've had the game in the bag if it weren't for those ruddy Dementors"
"Dumbledore was furious" Hermione spoke after the rest of the team had left me to rest
"Never seen him look like that before" Ron nodded, handing me a chocolate frog, which I took gratefully
"Ran onto the field just as Harry caught you and shot a bunch of silvery stuff out his wand, seemed to chase em away."
"Our brooms, where are they" I asked anxiously
"I think I saw Cedric grab onto yours as we exited the stadiums, maybe he still has it."
Harry woke up shortly after Ron and Hermione were ushered away by madam Pomfrey, which left me alone to deliver the news of his broken broom. I couldn't help but feel guilty at the fact that his had flown into the Whomping Willow while mine had been saved. It didn't help that I also had to tell Harry the outcome of the game, but made sure to let him know that we were still in the running if Hufflepuff lost. I could tell he still shared my sadness, though he gave me a smile when I thanked him for catching me.
There was a sweet scent of fresh fruit and sugar wafting from the kitchen
The house was empty, its usual inhabitants away on some business trip
I walked towards it and smiled at the sight
Noah was standing at the kitchen counter, which was littered with all sorts of ingredients, berries, and baking tools.
His perfect face broke into a wide grin when he saw me, putting down the bowl he was mixing and making his way towards me before I put out a hand in front of him, stopping him.
"You are not coming near me until you wash your hands, young man." He laughed and put his hands up in the air, shaking some flour on the floor, before wiping a dot of cake batter onto my face when I wasn't paying attention.
"Noah!" I gasped, though I couldn't help but laugh with him.
"I'll get it for you, (y/n)" he replied, leaning forward and licked off the batter from the corner of my mouth, which stretched even wider at his actions. I shook my head slightly before placing my lips on his gently. He returned the kiss, grinning against my mouth as he went to deepen the kiss, before I pulled away.
"You, Noah, have a job to finish" I said smirking and indicating the unbaked batter on the counter"
he made a sort of playful "humfh" noise, sagging his shoulders as I laughed.
I laid in the hospital wing breathing heavily as I thought about the cause of my insomnia. Another dream. A good one. My second happy memory dream I've had so far. Accepting that I was not going back to sleep, I had a sudden idea which lead me to casting a silencing charm and sneaking past Harry, who was fast asleep, and out into the deserted corridor, which was significantly creepier at night. Hurrying up the stairs that led to the owlery, I clutched my parchment, ink, and quill tightly in my hands, afraid of dropping something and alerting a teacher of my curfew-breaking. I leaned my parchment against the cool stone wall of the owlery and quickly wrote

Tying it to one of the Hogwarts owl, I watched with a smile as the bird flew away, thinking about the look on Harry's face when he received my surprise gift. My glee was short-lived, ruined by a drawling voice behind me that said
"Well well well, fancy seeing you here, (y/n), knew you were stalking me"
"Malfoy. Wish I could say it was a pleasure seeing you here, but as it is not, I'll be leaving now"
I tried to walk past him, but he grabbed my arm and spun me around to face him
"Why'd you fall?"
I was taken aback by his sudden change in demeanour
"What?" I asked him, wondering if he was playing some sort of dumb joke on me
"You fainted when the Dementors came onto the field. Why?"
"Thought it'd be a fun time" I said sarcastically, but he remained serious
"You've got to stop getting hurt so much"
"Why do you even care what happens to me, Malfoy?"
He scrunched his eyebrows before straightening his face, his smirk returning
"Because, you dimwit, if you die, then I'll never get my favour."
I grimaced, remembering the bet I had made.
"That's not even fair, we would've won if we hadn't been...interrupted." I argued, fighting to push back flashbacks from the dementor visit aside, hoping he hadn't seen the momentary quiver in my voice
"A bet's a bet, Lestrange. And I won."
"Whatever, Malfoy, what's your stupid favour?" I questioned, annoyed that my smooth journey back to bed was being interrupted.
His right brow lifted, and he took three long strides in my direction, until he was directly in front of me, and I could see the chilly evening mist forming from each breath he took. He looked at me with the same expression he wore on the field where the bet had been made, his silver eyes darting from my eyes to my lips, then back to my eyes. After a while, he spoke
"I'm saving it for another time"
