Hey! i know this isn't the next chapter but i have some important notes i'd like to say that i encourage you to read over quickly before continuing

-I've said this briefly in an (a/n) at the end of a chapter, but YES Draco and (y/n) will be together, otherwise i wouldn't call this a dracoxreader! I'm trying to make this story as much of a slow burn as possible, as i think they're more interesting to read and more satisfying when they finally get together. This means readers will have to be patients as i want to develop the relationship between Draco and (y/n), and don't worry, i won't do a cliche storyline where Cedric is a side love interest there to make Draco jealous but then Cedric falls in love/cheats on (y/n) with Cho. i'm really trying to make my story as unique as possible so it is more fun for you guys to read!

-i am following the harry potter storyline rather than making up a new storyline that's isolated from the golden trio. there's no specific reason for me doin this other than it just feels right for me. i'm not a fan of fanfics where the author creates new characters to be the main character's friends(no shade if you do this, it's just not for me). HOWEVER, it also won't be like those fanfics where the author keeps every scene word for word and (y/n) is kind of just an added presence with no real purpose, i intend to severely alter some scenes, twist the storyline a bit, and add in comepletely new scenes, which will hopefully make reading my story more interesting for you guys

-i get mad when i read a fanfic and relationships are portrayed to be perfect and completely happy and sunshine and rainbows and glitter and it's just not realistic. even soulmates and couples who are absolutely made for each other will have disagreements and have fights. it doesn't mean their relationship is falling apart, or not a strong one. so when you see couples fight in my story, please don't comment "toxic" or something like that. a couple never fighting would be toxic, it depends on what the fight entails. some fights will truly be toxic in my story but please be reasonable with your perception of a bad relationship when a fight occurs.

-i am following the book storyline, not the movies because i feel like the movies leave out important details. because of this, you might be unfamiliar with a couple scenes/lines if you're from tiktok and only have heard the iconic trendy lines. (ex. i didn't use the draco lines from the buck beak movie scene, i used to book lines) i honestly don't know what to say if you are upset i'm not using the movie lines, it's way too confusing to follow the book storyline but use the movie lines. i don't know how to say this nicely, but please just deal with it, it's not a big deal

-I do not want to here anything about (y/n) being in Gryffindor. Period. If it bothers you so much you felt the need to comment just don't read my book. Cross house relationships>same house relationships. The spice. The scandal. The drama. It's just *chefs kiss*.
