I woke up, and the it was still incredibly dark out. Susan was snoring , laying sideways on the couch. I was on the opposite side. leaning against the armrest. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I glanced and saw my phone on the coffee table, so I grabbed it to see the time.

3:47 A.M.

I sighed and went on my phone, scrolling through my social medias. Today was officially Sunday. I sighed. My phone buzzed.

Hammie💕
you probably aren't up but i miss u rn

I clicked the notification faster than light.

Me
i really miss you too :(

Hammie💕

Me

Hammie💕

I sighed and typed away.

Me
but i can't sleep

Hammie💕

i'll help u

I furrowed my eyebrows and questioned what that meant, but was interrupted by my phone buzzing.

Incoming Call: Hammie💕

I glanced at Susan and slowly got off the couch, tiptoeing to my room. I shut the door and answered the call. Hamzah's frowning face appeared on the screen. He was lying down. I could see his bare shoulders, he must be shirtless. I felt myself blush at this but quickly turned my face away from the screen and got into bed.

"Why can't you sleep?" He asked. I frowned.

"I miss you."

"I'll talk to you while you fall asleep," He said. I sighed. I knew that it usually took a while for me to fall asleep. I propped my phone up on some pillows, lying down and facing the screen. Hamzah smiled at me.

"Well close your eyes," He said. I giggled and closed them. Hamzah started talking softly.

"Tomorrow Ill FaceTime you, and then we can plan to meet up sometime. It's not like I live that far, and then-" I listened to his rambling and smiled. I felt myself grow tired. Hamzah must have seen me grow steadier and seen me sleeping. As I drifted into the dark abyss of sleep, I heard Hamzah say one a goodnight.

I woke up to sun once again streaming through my window. My phone still sat upright, but it looked to be dead. I quickly plugged it in. I pulled back the covers and hopped out of bed, wandering into the living room. Susan was still fast asleep on the couch.   Giggling, I walked into the kitchen and started to make myself some cereal. Susan stirred and got up. I served her a bowl as well. We giggled over random things for a while, until she had to pack up and go home. I solemnly waved goodbye as she pulled out of the driveway. I sighed and walked back into the house, walking to my room. My phone was charged a fair amount, and I picked it up. I suddenly remembered I had fallen asleep with Hamzah on facetime last night. I then remembered what he had said as I was falling asleep. I felt a dark blush creep up my cheeks. He said he loved me. The thought made my stomach feel warm and fuzzy, but also nerves struck through me. What if one day he just woke up and didn't love me anymore? What if once we meet again he realizes Im not worth it? I bit my lip and sat on my bed, picking up my phone. If he was up at three last night, I doubt he was awake now. I texted him anyways for when he does check his phone.

Me
goodmorning Hammie
hope u slept well 💘

As I suspected, he didn't read the text. He was probably still asleep. I'm glad he was though. If he was up already he would've got practically no sleep last night. I sighed and put my phone down, observing my messy room. I groaned and got up to get dressed.
