Still Friends?

3rd PERSON POV

Julie paced the floor. She wanted to talk to Jasmine about what happened at the dance. "Hey, Julie, can we-" Jasmine didn't get to finish what she was saying as Julie screamed. "Sorry, you scared me. But, I actually wanted to talk to you" Jasmine nodded as the girls made their way to Julie's bed.

" Do you... Do you hate me?" Julie asked in a quiet tone. " What? No, Julie, I don't hate you" Julie sighed in relief. " You're hurt, I understand. You're doing what you think is best for yourself. And as long as you think you made the right decision for yourself, then you'll be ok" Jasmine tried to place a hand on Julie's shoulder but it went right through.

But Julie didn't know if quitting the band is actually what she wanted. " Do you think I made the right choice?" Julie asked. Jasmine thought about it for a moment before she shrugged her shoulders. " I don't really know. To be honest, I think you were really brave. If I was in your shoes I don't know what I would've done" Jasmine said truthfully.

" I don't know, I think if they apologized then it would be ok. But I don't want to be let down again, you know?" Jasmine nodded. She wanted to lighten the mood.

" So, before the guys came into the gym, I was going to ask Cassian a question" Julie raised her eyebrow as she turned to Jasmine, she had been meaning to ask about him.

" I was going to see if it was cool to invite Cas into the band" Julie smiled, she liked the idea. " I figured that when we appeared, Cas could take over the piano. Thought it was pretty cool" Jasmine said with a shrug of her shoulders.

" So... Cassian?" Julie asked with a smile. "What do you mean? Don't look at me like that" Julie laughed as she clasped her hands together. " Come on, I see it. Do you like him?" Julie teased. Jasmine didn't really know what to say, did she?

" I don't know. He's a friend" Jasmine reassured. " So, who's that Nick guy?" It was now her turn to tease Julie.

" You know, I think Luke has a thing for you" Julie said suddenly. " Not this again" Jasmine rolled her eyes but listened to Julie. " I'm serious! Don't think I didn't catch that eye contact at the dance when I said that joining a band with the guys was a mistake. Girl he was looking right at you!" Jasmine once again rolled her eyes but still had a smile on her face.

Just because Julie quit the band doesn't mean that she didn't want to see Jasmine happy. And Julie saw that she was really happy when she's around Luke.

" I'm telling you, the way he looked at you on your sisters birthday, and the way he talked about you. That boy is in love" Julie reassured her. " No, we're friends. And he doesn't even know what he wants" Jasmine mumbled as she fiddled with her hands. But if she was being honest, she didn't know what she wanted either.

" Luke and I have been friends since we were 10. We've seen each other at our bests and our lows. It's just a really deep connection of understanding and knowing where the other is coming from. That, Julie, is something that's not easy to find. And I was lucky enough to not only have one, but two others" Jasmine made sure to include Alex and Reggie, she didn't want to make Julie get her hopes up about Luke and her being a thing. It definitely wasn't happening anytime soon.

Julie nodded as she was starting to understand where Jasmine was coming from. She was hoping she had a friendship like Jasmine and the guys, and she thinks, no she knows that she found that with Flynn.

The girls had spent a while getting to know each other a lot better. " So, the ultimate question to prove our friendship. Werewolf or vampire?" Julie asked with intensity. " Oh, werewolf. No doubt about it!" Julie gasped.
