Sleepover

3rd PERSON POV

It was the night before the band was supposed to find a way to play the Orpheum tomorrow, and everybody was a little on edge. Julie was in her room while the band was nervous and as quiet as could be.

Their heads snapped to the garage door to see Julie coming in with a pillow and blanket. "What're you doing? Shouldn't you be in bed?" Jasmine asked as she stood up from her spot beside Luke. "I am going to bed. It'll just be in here" she said with a smile as placed her things on the couch.

Julie looked around and noticed everybody's sad faces. They weren't as bad as before, but still noticeable. "Look, this is our last night together. So I figured, why not have a sleepover?" Everybody but Jasmine looked at her confused.

"You guys never had a sleepover?" Julie said confused. She thought with how close they all were, they definitely would've had at least one. "I never had any friends" Cassian said with a shrug. "We'd all fall asleep in the garage or something, but what do you even do at a sleepover?" Reggie asked with a happy face.

"Yea, Luke always wanted to always rehearse or hang out with Jasmine" at the mention of her name with Luke's, Jasmine blushed. "Shut up. I did not" Luke said as he threw a pillow at Alex. " I've had a sleepover. It was with Natalie, but it still counts. All my friends are in here, so..." Jasmine trailed off awkwardly.

" I can't tell if this is sad or exciting. Anyway, at sleepovers, we talk, eat, face masks, watch tv, play games. Well, you guys can't eat, but we can do a lot of other things" Julie said with a smile. "Well, let me go change into pajamas" Jasmine said. But she didn't have pajamas, she just had sweatpants and t-shirts. As did rest of the guys.

They were in the middle of Uno and Alex was in the middle of yelling at Reggie that he cheated. Jasmine, Luke, and Cas were all laughing and making jokes at them. All while that was happening, Julie was smiling sadly, this was her band, her family. She was really going to miss them.

" Ok, Julie. We have a surprise for you. Close your eyes and don't open them till we say" Julie did as she was told and waited for them. After a few hushed whispers and noises of things falling down, they finally told her they could open her eyes. "What's going on?" Julie asked with a smile as they all held out one thing in their hands.

" We know that it's gonna be hard with us not being here and it'll be vise versa. But, we wanted to give you something to remember us by" Cassian said with a smile. Alex held out his Fannypack, even though he was probably gonna wear it tomorrow. Reggie held out his necklace that he always wore. Cassian held out a small ring he used to play with when he played the piano. Luke held out a guitar pick that he always played with. Lastly, Jasmine, she held out a picture of she and the guys before they died.

" Cas, isn't in this one or any of them, but... we could always just find a picture and add it" Julie smiled at them as she took out of there hands. " Thank you, guys. Alex, you might wanna keep this. I know you'll probably wear it tomorrow" Alex took it back with a small smile.

" Ok! Back to the game so I can kick all your asses" Jasmine said as she clapped and rubbed her hands together. Throwing an arm over Reggie's shoulder.

It was late at night once again and surprise, surprise, Jasmine and Luke were the only ones awake. But this time they were together, not separate. "We really need to start going to bed at a decent time" Jasmine said as she looked down at them. "Why? We're ghosts, we don't need sleep" Luke said with a chuckle but faced Jasmine. One of her legs swinging back and forth as she faced him.

" Are you tired?" Luke asked. "What? No" Jasmine answered. "Are you sure? Because every time we have on of these talks, or I try to tell you something, you always fall asleep" Luke said as Jasmine rolled her eyes. "Luke, you're getting on my nerves. What do you want to tell me?" Jasmine asked. Luke took her hand in his, sighing nervously.

"Tomorrow may be the last time we could see each other and I ju-" Luke didn't finish as he heard sligh snores. "Seriously? You said you weren't tired" Luke whined. He was trying to tell Jasmine his feelings before tomorrow. Before he didn't have any time left.

" I'm just playing" Jasmine said with a laugh as she leaned her head of the wooden boards. "You just make it so easy, you know? I think you've kn-" Luke took this opportunity and kissed her. If he didn't say it, he could show it. "Why did you do that?" Jasmine asked but she already knew the answer.

" I like you, ok? And I know you like me too. I just wanted to get that off my chest before tomorrow. I've always liked you, I just never saw it" Luke rushed out, afraid that Jasmine would interrupt him. Jasmine sat quietly, trying to think of something to say.

She leaned in and kissed him, obviously Luke responded. "I like you too. I was just waiting on you and for you to figure out what you wanted because I know I couldn't exactly rush it with you. I know feelings creep you out and you don't even know how to respond to them" Jasmine admitted.

"Are you scared?" Luke whispered. "Not right now" Luke didn't have to say much for Jasmine to know what he's talking about. And she was being truthful. She wasn't scared. If they crossed over and they all ended up together, she'd be happy, ecstatic. But, if they couldn't crossover and they had to go, she was ok with that too. She's said everything she's needed to say, and tomorrow she's gonna rock that stage she'd always dreamed about playing with her best friends. Jasmine honestly wouldn't wanna go out any other way.

Luke felt that way too. The only thing they wouldn't except is Caleb, and having to work for him. They refused. What sucked the most is that they knew that they could be powerful, but they didn't know how to use it. If they did, they'd probably be able to stop Caleb.

" Can we try that again?" Luke said as he leaned in closer. Jasmine closed the space between them as her lips met his in a passionate kiss. It started out slow and sweet, both being nervous because they hadn't kissed since that night. But it became more heated, Jasmine running her fingers through his hair as he pulled her into his lap. Luke licked her bottom lip, but Jasmine denied and pulled away.

" I think... I think that we should take it easy. Anytime this happens, it always ends up a little crazy. And I don't feel like having sex while everyone is in here" Luke blushed and looked down. His hands still on her waist. She kissed him one last time before poofing away and then coming back a second later with pillows and a blanket.

" We can share" Jasmine said with a shrug as Luke smiled at her. She handed him a pillow as she opened the blanket and laid it over them as they laid on the floor. Jasmine's head was on his chest as he ran his hands up and down her back soothingly. " Our timing really does suck" Jasmine laughed quietly at Luke.

Maybe things would've been different if they had admitted their feelings sooner. It wouldn't have mattered if they died or not, as long as they had the band and each other, they were ok. Instead of one listening to the other to wait and for them to fall asleep, they both fell asleep together. The pair holding each other tightly as comfort for the other. Reassurance and love being passed through them as they slept calmly throughout the night.

AUTHORS NOTE

They kissed! The suspense was killing me, but I loved writing this because of the little moments of Julie with the band. And how they each gave her something that she could keep to remember them by. Now, obviously even if they did crossover nothing would leave with them, so everything would've been still there. But, I thought it was nice of them to give her something personal of theirs.

So I have an idea, I was thinking of another Luke fic. The girl would still be a ghost, and she would still know the band, but she wouldn't be played by Zendaya. This time around the story would be an enemies to lovers kinda thing. And honestly, I'm a sucker for those stories, but I don't know, I may start writing it after I finish this book. Let me know what you think
