3rd PERSON POV
Jasmine woke up and noticed that Luke was still asleep. She carefully and quietly moved away from Luke, which was hard because he was practically holding her. But she still thought it was cute.
Poofing down she saw Julie sitting at the piano with a smirk on her face. " What?" Jasmine asked. " Oh, nothing... nothing. Did you sleep well last night?" Julie asked with a smile on her face. Jasmine still wasn't getting the reason for the smile. " Yea... probably the best I had in a while. Why do you ask?" Julie couldn't hold in her excitement anymore.
" You and Luke were cuddling! Oh, it was so cute! The way you guys held each other! If my phone could make ghosts visible, I would've really loved to take a picture of you guys!" Julie exclaimed while Jasmine tried to shush her.
" I know people can't hear us because we're dead. But we can hear you. Also, it's not that big of a deal, we used to do it all the time" Jasmine shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. Julie stood up as she realized she had to get dressed. " I've gotta get ready, but we are so not done talking about this" Julie said as she started to leave.
" There's nothing to talk about!" Jasmine knew she was lying. " I'm also telling Flynn! She wants to know what's going on with you guys!" Julie shouted as she turned to go up the steps to go to the gate. What both of them failed to realize was that Luke heard the whole thing. He actually had been up as soon as Jasmine pulled her hand out of his.
Julie walked down stairs after getting dressed to hear her dad singing. She walked into the kitchen to see Cassian and Reggie in there singing with him. "This is new" Julie said with a smile. " Yea. I was in the mood for cooking some breakfast" Her dad replied back with the same positive tone.
Reggie giggled. " He thought you were talking to him. Me and your dad are pals now. It's a little one-sided, but it works" Reggie said. Cassian sighed. " No, it's completely one-sided. I thought we were making progress" Cassian said as he playfully tapped Reggie in the shoulder.
" Look, after the talk we had, I was thinking that I may have cost you an opportunity with that manager. So I was thinking-" Julie shook her head, it wasn't her dads fault. " Dad, no. I should've never snuck out" she tried to make him feel better.
" Let the man speak. He's been stress eating all day. I don't know where he puts it though. It's, like... firm" Reggie said as Julie tried to hide her smile. " I know, but I really want to support your band. So I called in some favors and I booked you a local gig" Reggie and Cassian cheered.
" Best dad ever! What?" Cassian exclaimed as he hopped off the counter. " Oh my gosh. Where? Did you call your buddy from Drakes?" Julie asked excitedly. " Not quite" her dad replied with a smile. " I called Flynn, and she's gonna help us throw a party. Here, tonight" the ghosts and Julie's smiles dropped a little.
" So you booked us a gig at our house?" Julie side-eyed the boys. " Maybe I was a little early with the "Best Dad Ever" award. That was a mistake" Cassian said as he hopped back on the counter. " All right. Hear me out. You invite some of your friends over, you play with your band, and I'll get some colleagues to put you on film. That way, you have something professional for your YouTube" Julie smiled brightly at her dad. She was really glad he was supportive of her music. But it also made her realize how lucky she was.
" You'd do that for me?" Ray nodded. " Yea" he smiled and picked up his cup of coffee. " Back to being the best dad ever. We'll go tell the guys" Cassian said as he hopped off the counter and dragged Reggie with him. Reggie pleaded for him to let go pleading to stay with his friend. " Reggie, you gotta let that go" Cassian said as Julie chuckled quietly to herself.
