3rd PERSON POV
Alex was sitting on the stage of the Orpheum. He was doing some thinking, which he always did. Memories of that night flowing through his mind. They terrified him. He didn't even know if this was what they had to do.
" Is this seat taken?" Willie appeared, snapping Alex out of his thoughts. Alex looked to him and then looked around, twirling his sticks in hand. " This whole thing sucks" Alex said with a sigh. " Yea, I messed up" Willie agreed. "No, it's like you said... you know, you didn't have a choice. I mean, Caleb owns your soul" Alex tried to make him feel better. He thought back to the other night in the garage with Jasmine. How she told him it was ok to still not like somebody but have feelings for them. In his case, he didn't like Willies actions, but still liked him.
" No" Willie inhaled sharply. "No, still, I know what he's capable of. I brought you guys right to him. When you guys asked me, I should've just skated away" Willie didn't want sympathy, he didn't want to feel worse than he already did. He knows he messed up and he wants to make it right. Or at least help.
" I would've still followed you" Alex tried to get him to laugh. " Man, I would do anything to take back what I did to you" Alex felt the jolt. "I'm so sorry. I mean, did you guys figure out what your unfinished business is?" Alex scoffed but nodded.
"Not like it's gonna happen. We have to play here" Alex said as he turned back to face forward. " The... the Orpheum?" Willie was shocked. "Yea. I mean, we were two hours away from getting on that stage the night we died" Alex explained.
" You guys were gonna be legends" and Willie was right. It was like what Luke said, anybody who ever played on that stage had an amazing career ahead of them. "We were" Alex gave Willie one last look before they sat in silence.
JASMINE'S POV
It was a sad feeling looming in the garage. I knew that I was ready to say goodbye. If anything, I'd thought my unfinished business would be apologizing to my parents. But I summed up what I needed to say the night I saw them. So even if we didn't cross over, or even if we did, I was ok. Well, maybe not ok, but I was good enough to know that I had apologized.
Luke and I haven't really talked since that night. I don't know if he's been purposely avoiding me or not, but I'm really worried. I wanted him to get some closure with his parents. To let them know that he didn't die hating them.
" Hey, Luke! Can we talk?" I asked as he suddenly walked into the garage. I stood up and made a few small steps but stopped in my tracks as I noticed he wasn't smiling. "Um... not right now, Jas. I'm gonna go find Alex and the guys. I'll see you later, ok?" I put on my best fake smile and nodded. He gave me one last look before poofing away. I sighed as I sat back down on the couch.
Then, Julie walked in. " Jas! Just the girl I wanted to see" she said as she speed walked to the couch. "What's up?" I asked as I turned towards her. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. " You remember that time Luke, Reggie, Alex, and I all spied on you and saw how sad you were in your sisters birthday?" She asked. " Vividly" I said with a nod.
" Ok, and you remember how we gave them your song?" I nodded again but was getting really confused at what she was getting at. "I wanna do that for Luke" she blurted out. "What?" I asked confused.
" I've noticed since the night we performed, Luke and you guys have been really down. I thought that maybe it was because I interrupted a moment or something-" Julie sighed deeply as she looked at me.
" I wanna give Luke's parents Unsaid Emily" my eyes widened. " Um... are you sure. Luke's a really private person" I double checked with her, she hesitantly nodded. " I think Luke is really missing his parents right now, and I think if he gave them that song, he'd feel a lot better" Julie explained.
