A Sudden Glimpse

"Your ready? i mean pag ikaw pumalpak Ryuu kasama kana talaga sa flop squad diba Wye?" Zoey said teasingly while watching me blow drying my hair.

"C'mon, di naman ako kumalpak last operation ah. Tsaka atleast di tulad kay Pauline" Wyette replied and we three bust out laughing.

"Hoy! narinig ko kayo!" Pauline shouted from other room.

After a minute, bumaba na sila Wyette and Zoey para kumain. Hahantayin dapat nila ako kaso ang tagal ko daw mag bihis kaya nauna na silang bumaba.

My mission will start today kaya sa Casa kami natulog unfortunately di kami kompleto katulad last time. Cole and Evie are still in Melbourne.

They been there for 3 months and they still on operation, while Bryant is in Cebu for some business shit with Mr. Cy his target.

WERE UNDERCOVER AGENTS or also known as SECRET AGENTS. We work for government to spy and gather information about illegal activities like drug trades and fraudsters but in our case were more focus on underground businesses.

Casa is our hideout but not a typical hideout that you probably know because its literally a house. A Mansion, its from our own money naman pero mas marami lang talagang contribution si Boss.

I still have my own house doon parin naman ako umuuwi pag walang operation at lalo na pag weekdays.

Aside from being an agent, may mga ganap parin naman kami sa buhay. Wyette helping his brother manage their travel agency.

Zoey and Pauline owns a restaurant near in Alabang. Cole is also helping his father manage their own company. As well as Bryant and Evie. Ang yayaman pero mga kuripot.

Were just "lowkey" secret agent's. We still able to live in a simple and normal life. Dahil naka focus lang kami sa mga underground businesses, dalawa o tatlong beses lang kami nagkakaroon nang operation sa isang taon.  Sometimes operation can last 8 to 10 months at yun na ang pinakamatagal.

In 2 years of being an agent, my family thought that i'm just a Coffee Shop Owner at tambay kila Wyette. Luei Café already had 2 branches, 1 in Makati and Quezon but the main is here in Alabang and it's doing great.

"Si Boss 'andyan na Ryuu" Pauline said to me at bumaba na.

Tamang tama tapos na akong magaayos at dumaretso na ako sa conference room. I'm wearing plain black shirt with a oversized denim jacket and some jeans.

Ito nalang yung naiwan kong damit dito sa Casa kaya no choice, kaysa naman lumabas akong naka hubad. Wyette, Zoey and Pauline was there already and syempre si Boss pati yung mga tauhan niya.

Did i already mention that we're all high school friends pati si Ellie, our Boss.

We've been known each other for a very long time kaya close kami sa isa't isa. The truth is being an agent is our plan ever since pero inside joke lang namin siya but now, look at us.

"Three months Ryuu..what do you think?" Ellie said while looking at me.

We call her boss dahil siya ang leader nang team namin. Marami pang ibang agent's pero magkakaiba lang nang teams.

"Yeah, okay na yun. Ang nakalagay lang naman doon sa case is i need to gather some information about his father and get that documents right?" i replied. Three months? that's enough time for me para masagawa ang mga plano ko.

I done this before not once but twice so, i'm a bit confident about this operation.

Wyette and I meet each other's eyes and she quickly warned me. "I heard that Mr. Davis is imperious kaya moba?"

"Of course si Mr. Velasco nga naisahan ko what more pa kaya kay Mr. Davis"

"But Mr. Davis is different, simula noong namatay yung mom niya he become strict handling his company and also became very private about his life" Wyette explains.

Hindi ko ata nabasa yun o wala lang talagang nakalagay sa background niya.

"Actually she's right that's why sayo ko inassigned tong operation na 'to at ikaw nalang ang dipa pumapalpak" pang aasar na sabi ni Ellie.

That's true, ako nalang ang dipa pumapalpak sa grupo, malibang sa pagiging perfectionist ko minsan, minsan lang naman, alam ko din na maraming pwedeng mangyari kapag pumalpak ako.

It's either mapapatagal ang operation or may mapapahamak pa na iba.

"Pag ikaw pumalpak Ryuu, i'm telling you mag papaparty ako" pagbibiro ni Pauline, the leader of flop squad.

"No she can't, inaantay na to ni Director Garcia para matapos na yung investigation nila sa father niya at sa mga involve pa. I'm counting on you in this operation at sana binasa mona rin yung background ni Mr. Davis for other info"

Ellie explains. Si Director Garcia ang FBI director na pinaka head namin. Basically he's the one who hired us. We respect him so much kaya we're doing our best every mission.

"Kaya kona to ako pa—"

My phone rings and it turns out it's my mom. i can't decline this call so i signal Ellie na lalabas muna ako nang room and she nod. I took a deep breathe and answer the call.

"Mom! How's the cafe?" i ask. I told them na i'm on vacation kaya pinabantayan ko muna sakanila yung shop.

"Okay lang naman. Maraming costumer ngayon kaya medyo busy sila Maxine, kailan ka uuwi?" Maxine is one of my best employees, siya na ang pinaka matagal kong employee sa café kaya naman I trust her.

"Di kopa alam Mom, Baka siguro ano.... matagalan ako pero tatawag naman ako paminsan minsan sainyo" i replied.

I'm already 23 years old pero yung mga alibi ko bulok parin. I told you this shit is really hard.

"Okay, basta ingat ka nalang lagi dyan. Wag magpapagutom ah?" Tong nanay ko talaga apaka cute.

"Ay ay captain" i smiled.

"Okay, I love you Ryuu"

"Love you mwah! Bye"

"Bye ingat"

I ended the call at bumalik na sa room. Tignan mo nga naman tong mga to! nagtatawanan nalang sila.

"What? did i missed something? mukang ang saya niyo ata?" i ask them and they still laughing.

"Wala tinatawanan ka lang namin" Zoey answers. seriously? i think tinantawanan nila yung job na papasukan ko. I need to spy in that company kaya kaulangan kong magkaroon nang access doon.

"Kasalanan to ni Ellie, sa dinami daming pwedeng maging trabaho doon sa company na yun, janitress pa"
