Five minutes later I was climbing into Ryker's car. I clicked in my seatbelt and threw my bag into the back seat.

"How was your day?" Ryker asked as he pulled out the car. He actually could talk about someone other than himself? Wow, that was a shocker. "It was... good, I guess." I shrugged and looked out the window. "Yup, at least there's no homework tonight." He said in agreement. I nodded and smiled, I was beginning to realize that there was more to Ryker than just your stereotypical popular guy.

When we finally arrived at my house, after I had reluctantly given him my address, I climbed out and surprisingly enough, he followed me.

We walked up to the front door. I turned around, "Okay, well thanks. You know, for the ride." He smiled and replied, "Your welcome Jay." "Why do you say my name so much? Ever since you learned it you say it in every single sentence." I said, exasperated. The boy didn't even know how to talk like a human being. He leaned in, "I like your name, Jay." he leaned in even closer and I did what any girl would do; I rang the doorbell to my own house.

I heard the door being unlocked while Ryker quickly got off of me. I smirked and turned to look at my mother, "Hey Mom." my mom smiled at me and then turned to look at Ryker. "Who's this January?" No. She did NOT just use my full name. Ryker laughed but covered it up as a cough. I glared at my mother, "That's Ryker. And he's leaving, NOW." "Honey, that's incredibly rude, Ryker come on in." she smiled at him. "Gladly." He replied smirking at me.

When my mom turned her back Ryker whispered in my ear, "I think I have a new favorite month, January." I growled in frustration but apparently he wasn't done, "Don't worry though. I like Jay even better."
