We were going to our first dinner party. I put on a floral dress with some white gladiator sandals and pulled my hair back after I curled it.
I walked into the room and saw Ryker who I immediately sat by. We talked to Mom's co-workers and ate the food. Someone holding a microphone made an announcement "Okay everybody, now we're going to play a slower song, please find a partner. Really? A slow song? Ryker and I shrugged. We stood together.
I put my arms around his neck and he put his around my waist. The music started quietly but the amount of awkward was loud as heck. "You look great tonight by the way." Ryker said I smiled. "Hey, I can dress up sometimes. Ryker smiled and leaned in, "I like you dressed up." I smirked "Well considering that this is the only dinner party we have... nope, it won't be happening again anytime soon." Ryker leaned in even closer. "Yeah? Well if I asked you to the Winter Formal would you dress up then?" Oh my gosh. Was he asking me to go with him? "You know what. I just might." Ryker smiled.
"Okay then. Will you, January Amethyst Brewer, go with me, Ryker James Hollister to the winter formal?" I smiled and rolled my eyes, "I would have said yes but you used my full name so..." He smiled and leaned in even closer, "Fine. Jay, will you go to the dance with me?" I smiled. "Yes."
