Chapter 26

I walked home. The fact that Joy had lied and been such a jerk sickened me.

I pulled out my phone, an unknown number was calling. "Hello?" I hesitantly answered the phone. "Hey! It's Will." I smiled, "Hey! What's up?" We talked about our days until Will cleared his throat,"Do you want to meet at The Pizza Place? We have practice there after it closes." The Pizza Place's name was actually The Pizza Place. It was the most popular hangout for the teens in our town since it had a stage and plenty of room to dance, eat, or whatever. "Sure. See you in a few?" I asked. "Definitely." He replied.

Fifteen minutes later I was at Pizza's (That's what everyone who didn't want to pronounce the whole name over and over again calls it). I sat down and ordered a vegetarian delight pizza. I waited and waited and waited. Had he really skipped out of it? I sighed. I started to stand up when someone slid in the seat across from me, "Hey." "Oh hey Wi- er, Nick. Hey Nick! What's up?" Shoot. Why was HE here?

"Tyler, you're supposed to tell me when you're going somewhere." Nick said looking angry. "Calm down, I just went for some pizza." I said, honestly Nick was beginning to scare me. "Tyler. You're coming home with me, NOW." He growled. I stood up and he grabbed my wrist, I didn't want to go with him but I didn't want to fight.

Then I remembered Will, I stopped and whipped my wrist out from Nick's grasp. "No. I'm not coming with you." Nick walked closer to me. I felt brave, braver than I'd ever felt before, "I don't need to. You don't always need to know where I am. I'm not your pet or your property. I don't think this relationship is going well and..." I paused, "I want it to end."

Nick looked angrier than I'd ever seen him, "Get. In. The. Car. Now." I shook my head. "No way." Nick grabbed me and threw me over his soldier.

I punched his back and slapped it, "Put me down! I'm not going home with you! Somebody help!" Nothing happened.

Nick threw me in his car and I smacked my head against the window and got knocked out.

I opened my eyes, I was in a booth. I was in a restaurant. I sat up, where was I? As my eyes came into focus I saw that I was back in The Pizza Place but no one else was.

I heard someone talking, I recognized the voice, "I'm going to go check on her, thanks for the help officer." I heard a door close and Will ran into the room. "Tyler! Are you okay?" He sat down across from me. "Yeah, I think I'm okay. My head really hurts and-" I tried to finish but instead Will looked at my face. "You're bleeding, did that... did he... I'm going to kill him." I felt the spot where he had pointed, "Oh no. That's just from a fight I got in earlier." Will's eyes basically popped out of his head, "WHAT?!" I laughed. "Yeah, turns out that Joy is a jerk and she took on Riley, Em, Jay, and I."

Will looked concerned, "Really. I'm fine." Will smiled. "Will, what happened?" Will explained to me that after Nick had forced me into the car another customer had called the police since he technically kidnapped me. Will said that when he and his band had pulled up when they saw the police cars, Nick, and me lying on the ground completely knocked out.

"Hey Tyler? Are you and Nick still dating?" I thought about that, were we? I had tried to end it but he clearly hadn't agreed. This was my decision to make, "No, never again." I smiled and Will leaned in, "You were just asking so you could kiss me?" I asked as I raised my eyebrows, "No. I was going to kiss you anyways." Will replied. I smiled, Will kissed me and the firework show began.

"Dude. We need to start practice, let's go!" One of Wills band members said. Will broke the kiss. He nodded towards his friend and looked at me, "Want to stick around? I'll drive you home afterwards." I nodded. He turned away and when I stopped watching him he turned around and pecked me on the lips. I smiled, this couldn't get any better.
