Part 14: 𝐁𝗼𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

"𝐒𝐭𝗼𝐩"

Y/N cheerfully skipped around the Cities streets.

Rex Lapis was arriving today.

Many other people walked around until they got to the center of the city.

Y/N decided to pray to god before the ceremony took place.

"Y/N! This is so exciting!" A child called out waving his hand.

In his other was a little girl. She looked shy and she hid behind him but still introduced herself.

"H-hello my name is Ming Ling..." she mumbled flustered.

"She's my friend! I met her this morning isn't she great?!" The boy squealed and pinched Ming Ling's cheeks.

Y/N laughed at them before walking into the crowd to see the ceremony.

The strange women in the front began to open the heavens for the god himself.

Y/N wondered what form he would take this year.

Wolf? Lion? Or maybe some mythical creature?

Suddenly a large red and orange dragon fell from the sky.

It crashed down on the offering table and lay still.

The women went up to it and quickly turned around to glare at us.

"Rex Lapis is dead!"

"This means...the killer is here!"

Several gasps left from the crowed echo throughout the city.

Whispering and murmuring began amongst the people.

Knights started questioning people but....how could a mere mortal kill a god?

It just didn't add up.

There was a blue traveler next to Y/N. She looked shaken and scared.

"H-hey it's gonna be ok! They're going to find out who the culprit is in no time! They won't even have time to- oh"

The traveler ran off leaving Y/N alone.

"Uh ok then"

A knight walked up to Y/N, his armor clicking together with each step.

"Ma'am where were you when Rex Lapis died"

Y/N tilted her head to the side.

"Uh here...watching the ceremony"

The knight awkwardly rubbed his head and blushed a little but it was still noticeable.

"R-right um"

The knight stuttered but was pulled away by another person.

"Odd"

Y/N thought but was brought out of her mind when a cold hand reached out and grasped her left arm.

It pulled her behind a house and kept a hand other her mouth.

"Happy to see me?"
