Y/N quietly ran out of the inn without anyone seeing her.
She held the hair pin and the book close to her chest as she ran.
She carefully navigated her way around the hilichurl camps for she didn't have the time nor strength to defeat them.
"I'm coming Xiao!"

Xiao sat slumped over on the floor with his palms facing out.
The black veins made there way up his arms and the right side of his face was now overcome with the curse.
His golden eyes traveled around the room looking for something, anything at this point.
His eyes landed on a small mirror that glinted the moons light onto the walls.
With his last remaining strength, he managed to use his adepti abilities to hide inside the mirror were he would be safe from harm outside.

Y/N panted and fell to her knee which were now dirty and bruised.
She wiped her mouth and continued to run into the house.
"Xiao!"
