The End Was Our Beginning

"So basically what you're telling me is, we don't stand a chance at winning this fight and the world will end no matter what."

Dean was struggling to accept this fate. For months...years, the Winchester's have been fighting for the lives of others. Warding off monsters of every kind-demon's, werewolves, vampires, shape shifters, ghosts, witches, rugaru's, leviathans, and many others. Dean knew what was happening. He could see what was happening around them. The world falling apart; coming to an end. He just wasn't willing to accept it. There was always a way to figure things out. Always a way to fix things. There was always a way. As long as they always keep fighting.

"We're not exactly a match for going up against God himself, Dean."

Sam, the practical one of the two brothers, always looking at the real picture and accepting what was in front of them. He was usually the one to give in and talk Dean down from his stubbornness and get him to see things for what they were. This time-this time was proving to be not so easy. Dean wasn't willing to accept that this was the end of the world.

"We have to try, Sammy. This is the end we're talking about. That's it. Nothing left after this. The end of all existence."

"With what help? Who's going to help us, Dean? Everyone that had any promise of being able to fight this fight is dead. And let's face it; Castiel really isn't up for the task with nearly every angel left against him."

Dean sat at the end of one of the beds in the motel room they were staying in. Resting his head in his hands he blew out a sigh of frustration.

"So that's it? We just sit in this dirty, cheap, old motel room and wait to just disappear?"

He stood, pacing back and forth. "No. This can't be how it ends. We've fought way too hard for this to be it."

Sam was sitting in one of the chairs at a small table near the door of the room. Looking out of  the window, not commenting on what his brother just stated because he, too, was having an internal struggle with the way things were ending. With the way the world would cease to exist after all of the hard work they had done. Spending their entire lives bouncing from motel to motel, state to state.

Sam and Dean were both pulled from their thoughts at the sound of fluttering wings. Castiel appeared standing between the two out of thin air.

"Cas, please tell us you have an idea to fix this. Something!" Dean pleaded.

In his low, scruffy, monotone voice Castiel looks to Dean and states,

"Well, I may have something."

Sam, now up out of his chair in anticipation, impatiently waits for him to continue.

"So Rowena and I have been working,"

"Wait, Rowena? You're working with Rowena? As in 'Queen of Hell' Rowena? How is that even possible?" Dean asked in confusion.

Castiel stops and sighs impatiently. "Yes, Dean. This is the end of the world. I am kind of desperate at the moment. I went to Hell and asked for her help. Any help she could offer. Now can I continue or are you going to berate me for every little thing you don't like?"

Dean held his hands up in defense and motioned for him to continue.

"As I was saying, I have been working with Rowena and she created an incantation of combined magics. It has taken months to prefect and a few mishaps along the way..." he grimaced as if viewing a mental image or recent memory. "But she's finally done it."

Sam and Dean waited for him to continue. When he hesitated Sam spoke up.

"So, this incantation, it can help us defeat God?"

"The incantation itself, no. But what it was used for, that's the goal."

"So what is this incantation she created?" Dean asked.

Castiel opens his mouth to speak but closes it. He shifts from side to side and lets out a sigh.

"It's easier if I just show you. Come on." he said grabbing both of their arms.

In a blink Sam and Dean were standing in the Green Room that Zachariah held them in. They were in a warehouse in Van Nuys, California. Dean looked around the room then to Castiel confused. At the sound of Rowena's voice, they turned around to face her.

"Hello, boys." she greeted with her mischievous grin.

"Rowena," Sam and Dean nod back to her in greeting.

Rowena slowly strides towards the three of them smiling.

"I'm guessing you want to know what this is all about, yes?" she asks as she trails her fingers along the edge of the table before she reaches the men.

"Rowena, save the games for later." Castiel said.

She frowned at him but turned her attention back to Sam and Dead.

"Well, let's just show them then, why don't we?" she says as she walks over to the wall and places her hands upon it. There's a red glow under her hands, the wall slowly splits and slides apart to show the warehouse the Green Room is located in.

As the boys step out into the warehouse they notice that it is no longer the rundown, rusty, abandoned building that it once appeared to be. Now it was a completely finished warehouse with walls painted white, the floor covered in a blue carpet, and bright lights filling the gigantic room. There were long tables and chairs that were filled with people. As the two moved closer Dean's eyes began to dart from one person to the next. He stopped to catch Sam's reaction, look of complete shock, and looked back to Castiel and Rowena.

"H-how is this even possible?" Sam asked glancing over at the two.

As the boys were taking in the event unfolding in front of them a couple was walking towards them. The woman reached out to both boys pulling them into a hug, holding them tighter with each second they were in her arms.

"My boys." Mary Winchester smiled as she kissed each of their foreheads.
