Your Own Demise

After Sam and Dean sat down to think about what Raven and Castiel just told them, Dean was anything but calm.

"Our bunker has a soul? A soul! As in the living thing that allows us to feel emotions?"

"How is this possible?" Sam asked.

Raven and Castiel both answered in unison.

"Amara."

Sam and Dean both looked up at the same time.

"What else did she give us?" Sam asked looking at Dean.

"You think I know? I didn't know about any of this. I didn't even know we were going to live let alone have a talking bunker!" Dean said throwing his hands in the air.

"This isn't really a bad thing." Sam said.

"You seen Christine and Maximum Overdrive. You know nothing good comes of things having souls." Dean said.

"Those were possessed vehicles, Dean. And movies." Sam argued.

"And? Where do you think the idea for those movies came from?"

Sam rolled his eyes. "Aeryn isn't in a vehicle. She's in the bunker. Sorta like, uh, Jarvis."

"You're going to compare this to Tony Stark? Jarvis was able to power down Tony. Jarvis literally saved his life by fixing the arc reactor! You think this Aeryn is anything close to Jarvis?" Dean exclaimed.

"Woe. Someone's an Iron Man fan." Raven chuckled.

"Damn straight, I am. And I don't care what anyone says, this Aeryn thing is a bad idea. And she's alive? We can't even power her down?!"

As Castiel was beginning to interject, Aeryn began talking.

"Dean, if you could go to the kitchen please." she requested.

"Oh now this thing wants me to do things for her? What if I don't? Are you going to boil my brains next time I shower?"

"No, sir. I'll just have wasted perfectly good meat." Aeryn replied.

At the mention of meat Dean stopped his complaining. He looked to the others and then headed towards the kitchen. When he reached the kitchen he smelled hamburg, onions, mushrooms, and peppers. He walked further in and noticed a plate on the table. On the plate was a perfectly cooked medium-well burger topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. Sitting next to the plate was a cold bottle of beer.

Dean's eyes widened as he reached the table. He carefully grabbed the burger, slowly bringing it to his mouth and cautiously took a bite. As he chewed his eyes grew wider and wider. He looked over to Sam and said with a mouthfuls of food,

"Dude, you gotta try this. This is the best burger I've ever had!"

Sam grimaced at the sight of Dean spitting food as he talked.

"No, I'm ok. You enjoy the best burger you've ever had, made by the living bunker with a soul that you are so against."

Dean stopped chewing. He looked to Sam then back at the burger.

"Dammit man!" Dean exclaimed. "Aeryn!" he yelled.

"Yes, Dean?" the voice replied.

"Is there a way to override you if we need or want to shut you down?"

"Yes, sir. One would just have to go into the maintenance room and remove my generator." Aeryn explained.

"If I'm going to agree to keeping you around I want you to walk me through this process right now."
