“Alright, Sam, I understand now what you were talking about.” Dean stated walking into the kitchen.
“What was I talking about?” Sam asked looking up from his laptop.
During Gabriel’s visit a few weeks back he touched the laptop and did something so it would be able to connect to Moya’s internal internet source. Gabriel explained to the guys that Moya didn’t have internet. There was no such thing as Wi-Fi. Moya consisted of a database of endless knowledge so basically the planet was an internet database of its own.“This not having anything to do crap. I thought living a normal life would be amazing. I thought it was what I always wanted. But I’m bored. I don’t do well with being bored.”
“We know. You annoy the crap out of us.” Sam laughed looking back to the laptop screen.
“Listen, Sammy, if we don’t find something to do soon…” Dean continued talking but Sam wasn’t paying attention. He was fixed on an article he found when he searched for ‘planet Earth’.
“Sammy, are you listening to me?” Dean asked. He threw a fit in his chair. “Pay attention to me, I’m bored!” he whined.
Sam glanced over the laptop at him holding his finger up signaling for a moment.
“What’d you find?” Dean asked standing and moving around to peak over his shoulder.
“I researched Earth. Here it tells me that Earth was swallowed up by a black hole. There’s nothing listed about missing galaxies or planets. It just says the planet Earth was consumed by a black hole.”
Dean stood straight and crossed his arms.
“So? Do you think anyone in a different universe is going to know a damn thing about what happened in ours? For all we know, Earth is just a story to them. Remember Ted telling me they only learned about the ‘ancient classics’ in books?”“Yeah, maybe. It’s just weird reading about your planet from a different universe’s point of view.” Sam agreed.
“Have you heard from Cas?” Dean asked.
“Nope. I’m actually getting worried. It’s been nearly two months since we’ve heard from him. Gabriel says he’s off with Michael and doing fine but I don’t know. Why would he just up and leave without saying a word.”
“Actually, I may know why he left.” Dean admitted rubbing the back of his neck. He sat back down in the chair across from Sam and rested his arms on the table. “Raven.”
“Raven? Why would he leave because of her? I thought he liked her?” Sam asked closing his laptop.
“He does like her. Too much.”
“No… I knew I was picking up on something between those two.”
“Yeah. He and I had a bit of an exchange the night he vanished. He’s so worried about adding to her grief over Jenna and Jenna’s father.” Dean explained.
“I guess I can’t blame him. I mean, if…”
“Hey guys, I’m starting dinner. What are ya in the mood for tonight?” Raven came around the corner making Sam stop in the middle of a sentence.
She opened the refrigerator and began reading off options.
“We’ve got ham, chicken, steaks, pork chops. I can make baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, damn near any type of vegetable. I can throw together some type of oven bake. Guys?” she closed the door and looked up to see Castiel standing next to the table with Sam and Dean.“How about coconut crème coffee?” He shrugged with a small smile pulling at the side of his mouth.
“Cas!” Raven ran over to him hugging him tightly. He tensed at first but relaxed and wrapped her in a hug.
