"how was your week?" katherine turns and smiles at her friend. regulus black, who unfortunately somehow was related to sirius black. regulus, unlike his two year older brother was sorted in slytherin. and actually still had his senses unlike sirius.

"had to fend your brother off poor severus down here." katherine hums, making severus look up sheepishly. he was currently sitting on the floor of the slytherin common room, next to the couch on which katherine is sitting on. regulus was leaning against the arm rest behind katherine.

"you really need to start fending for yourself, sev. you can't let those idiots push you around all the time." regulus says, making severus look down in slight shame. severus wasn't a lot like most slytherins, who would never let anyone walk all over them, he did and mostly the marauders. "come on, man. i heard you guys are thinking of joining the death eaters."

"yeah. considering it." katherine admits, after all this is what her father wanted. whatever her father wanted, goes.

"i don't know, i'm not sure how willing i am to go against lily." severus admits shyly, causing regulus to roll his eyes and katherine chuckles softly under her breath.

"you've got to grow a backbone, sev. you can't keep trying to please her. she's too busy with those gryffindor boys." regulus scoffs, making severus look down in disappointment. katherine softly pats him on the shoulder in a comforting manner.

"i wish they would stop being so annoying. all they do is cause trouble." katherine sighs as she fiddles with her tie.

"you're right. but let's leave them alone. i think we should worry more about making sure we do what our parents want, because unfortunately we can't all be blood traitors." regulus says, making her huff in annoyance.

"right. your brother just thinks he's all that. when he really isn't." she says, making regulus snort in amusement as severus looks up at her.

"i think all the girls would disagree. he's popular with them." severus points out, making her roll her eyes at the thought.

"yeah. they obviously have no self respect." katherine sneers, making both severus and regulus chuckle. she had always disliked sirius the most, since day one at hogwarts and they never really knew the real reason behind it. of course they understood how he got on her nerves, didn't help, but they were certain that wasn't the real reason.

"you sound kind of jealous, katherine. do you have a crush on my brother?" regulus asks tauntingly and she makes the point of fake puking, causing them to all laugh.

"never. i'd gauge my eyes out before that happens." katherine says with an amused smile, making sevurus chuckle as he shakes his head at her.

"the chemistry between them is undeniable." severus says to regulus teasingly, making katherine roll her eyes at him as she huff and crosses her arms over her chest. being the only girl between the three, they really enjoyed teasing her.

"katherine black. sounds really good." regulus says, and she turns around to hit him on the shoulder. he stands up, laughing, trying to get away from her.

"i hate you two so much." katherine grumbles as she stands up, causing regulus to take a few steps back in amusement. she moves around severus and slowly makes her way towards the stairs.

"where are you going? we're just teasing." regulus says, making her shake her head as she smiles at him over her shoulders.

"i know. but i won't get any work done with you two around. so i'll see you guys later." she hums, making severus smile softly as regulus groans.

"boring."
