everyone was gathered to watch the quidditch match. today was gryffindor versus ravenclaw. most of the students were cheering for gryffindor, mainly due to a massive obsession with the team's star player, james potter. it was said he was one of the best chaser gryffindor had ever had, if not whole of hogwarts. and as much as katherine hated to admit it, as she watched with wide eyes the game, she had to agree. once again she didn't notice as sirius sat down next to her, but this time he didn't come alone. remus, peter and even lily had joined him. it took her a few seconds to notice their presence and as she turned to look at them, her wide eyes turned into a look of annoyance.
"you take pleasure in annoying people don't you, sirius?" she asks, making him throw his hands up in defence as he leans back.
"we tried to tell him you probably wouldn't appreciate this, but he wouldn't listen." remus admits, making katherine huff and stand up.
"well thanks for ruining it, i'm going back to my room." katherine announces, but sirius pulls her back down, making her squeal and glare at him.
"no, you're not. we're watching this till the end. get comfortable princess." sirius hums, making her roll her eyes and raise an eyebrow.
"i don't have to listen to a thing you say." she says, and he shrugs as he looks from her to the game. katherine sighs as she leans back and looks at the game as well. sirius notices her focus again from the corner of his eye, making him smile softly.
"i never understood how someone as stupidly reckless as james, is able to be this good." sirius muses, making katherine turn to look at him questioningly.
"you're actually trying to have a normal conversation with me, are you?" katherine asks in disbelief, making him turn to look at her in amusement.
"oh, sorry. i thought i was talking to remus." he hums, making remus turn to look at them, at the mention of his name. katherine glares at sirius and looks back at the game. "i'm just teasing, princess."
"stop calling me that." katherine says between clenched teeth.
"aren't you a princess though? rich spoiled pure blooded slytherin. sounds like a princess to me." sirius says teasingly, making katherine's blood boil in anger.
"i'm sorry not all of us can runaway from our families and get away with it." she snaps, standing up and not leaving sirius anytime to stop her this time as she leaves the stands. remus turns to look at sirius.
"well done sirius, you once again managed to anger her. why do you need to talk to her if she clearly hates you?" remus asks curiously, making sirius shrug.
"i don't know. it's kind of fun annoying her." sirius shrugs with a mischievous smirk, making remus shake his head disapprovingly.
"how about you leave her alone?" lily asks as she tilts her head, she felt a little bad for katherine, because this whole time she was only defending herself and never really bothered them.
"where would the fun be in that? i mean come on, she's just another slytherin girl. she'll whine about it to her parents and call it a day." peter shrugs, making sirius nod in agreement and remus huffs, rolling his eyes at his two friends.
"whatever. let's just enjoy the match, before prongs scolds us for not paying attention."
